Hi Guys!!

I am assuming that you all know that many of us are having problems getting on the DisBoards :( :(. I have been trying to get on for 2 days at work, and have had no luck at all!!

I finally got on at home and voila!! It is not sending me any post emails though......

Lori -- Thanks for getting us the picture of Darren. He looks like he is having a blast :jester: !!

More later .....if I can get on..... :smooth:

Hi guys, back in town a little early so took time out to check on you. Lori, you are the greatest and did indeed redeem yourself with the update on Darren. Really enjoyed that post and picture to boot.

Poor Bonnie and anyone else having trouble. I held my breath but got on. I even had an email to tell me that someone (Lori) posted.

Dreary day at the campground so we went to Colo Spgs and went shopping. Back to the campground for some R&R and then went shopping at the Outlet Stores on our way home to Denver.

Denine, your baby book sounds terrific. I am glad that you found one!!:D

Have the kids tomorrow so will probably post one more time before vacation. See you tomorrow.

I had problems getting in yesterday but here I am today! I hope this means all the problems are solved!!

Denine - we have had our share of rain too! I can't remember a year when we had this much rain. Our weekend is supposed to be nice too. I hope they are right. We have had a lot of local flooding. The rain just has no where to go. We've had a couple of drownings due to the floods and lots of sink holes and washed out roads.

Have a great vacation, Sandy. Can't wait to hear from you when you return.

Lori, that was a great picture of Darren. He really looks happy. I hope we get to see him on our cruise in Nov/Dec. It will be great to see him again.

I hope everyone can get back on the DIS Board today. Have a great Thursday!
Later!

Oh, oh. This isn't a good sign. Just Susan after my last post. Glad you were able to get on Susan. I heard about your local flooding on the news. Hope you are doing ok. There are heavy storms in Denver but we are just not getting them. I would put money down that Lori isn't either. The campground is however. Totally saturated. Geez, I hate to leave with the major disfunction of the board. I could keep us alive. More than likely we will comeback to cut the grass and do laundry once or twice so I will check back in. Hopefully, I will have pages and pages to read. I leave tonight.

Denine, I sent Lori the recipe for the chocolate souffle.

I will try to get back on after I lose the kids today. If not, everyone take care and have a terrific next couple of weeks. I will miss all. Sandy and Ted

Hello, it's me Eeyore. That is my new name. I even have the rain cloud hanging over my head. As expected, it is cold and raining. It is supposed to be the same tomorrow and the rain is creeping into Saturday. It looks like Julie is getting rained on too. I may need to put the animals on the ark for her. The weather channel says we don't need to water, duh!!! Jerry wants to try to cut the grass tonight. he said it can't be any swampier than it was the last time.

Parenting question: Everytime I put something more solid in Kaleigh's mouth, she gags on it. It just has to be in her mouth for her to gag. She doesn't even have to attempt to chew or swallow it. She does eat cheerios and puffed wagon wheels. Is this normal? She has her 9 month appointment next week. I tried mashed bananas and apple dices. She loves applesauce, so I thought the apples would be OK. My over zealous book has her eating mashed bananas at 7 months and banana pieces at 8 months. I am afraid to give her anything else they have as added texture or finger foods. I don't want her to choke.

I hope all the problems get solved and everyone can get back on the boards. Jerry hasn't been able to look at the boards at work for months. He didn't know if his work did something or if it was a problem. Either way, he is not allowed to post at work, he could get fired. No e-mails either, grounds for dismissal.

Took Kaleigh's needlework up to have it framed last night. It is supposed to be ready July 2nd. I can't wait to see how it turns out. It was funny. The project is Pooh, we put the deposit down with the Disney Visa. The lady commented that we like Disney and how many times have we been? She almost fell over when we said about 15 times and that Kaleigh has already been twice. So then we had to tell her a little about DVC and annual passes. She and her mom went recently and had a great time.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!! I was ready for the padded room!!! Having to leave Glenn in Chicago then I didn't even have you guys at home!!!

I haven't read it all yet so I have no comments to make as yet. Just want to let you all know that I can get on!!!!

Of course I can't remember all that I read so excuse me if I mess on some comments.

Chocolate Souffle recipe??? Sounds great I'll take it! Of course I must get back on my diet...I am really porking up here. Glenn feeds me too well in Chicago!!! I need someone to blame it on! LOL!

Had a wonderful time in Chicago...I got to the zoo and beutiful gardens...what a wonderful city...I recommend it to anyone...of course I think the company I keep in Chicago has a lot to do with it! LOL!

Great to hear that Darren loves his job. I too was worried since we haven't heard from him. I imagine he gets great gratuities!! Probably better than the server...unless he is a server already and not an assistant still.

Susan I would call the cruise line and request Darren as your server. They will accommodate you if at all possible.

Great job posting all of you...still no post from Diana and Darren though. Or Patti alias Patty!

I missed you all...at least Monday evening till today...not over the weekend...sorry! LOL!

We've got our Bonnie back!!

I had to go by the grocery store on the way home today so I am just getting to the posts. Not much since this morning.:(

Denine - I have a total blank remember the solid food process. I must have been totally exhausted by then. I still haven't quite adjusted to what all parenting takes!!! Let Kaleigh guide you is the only advice I can think of. She is obviously healthy so don't get discouraged.

Sandy and Ted - gone again. I hope they stay dry at the campground.

We had more rain come through today! Enough already!!!

Speaking of the chocolate souffle recipe - what ever happened to the cookbook? Sally you and Julie have to get hopping on that when she gets back from WDW and you have all of your company gone.

Bonnie - I'm glad you had a great time in Chicago. Tell Glenn hello and hope he gets brave some day and posts!!

Later!

Fine thing, I can get in now and the only one to post is Sue!!! Thank heavens for my morning coffee buddy!

No EPCOT picture from Julie and Garry yet. I hope they are having a good time.

Denine...don't worry about solid foods with Kaleigh...she is still young. JUst remember she still doesn't have a lot of teeth to chew things so baby food is still just fine. Another thing to try is some macaroni and cheese when she is ready for more solid food. As I recall Ryan did not start on more solid food until he was about 10 months old...and then it was more snacky type.

Have a good day all!

Happy Friday!!

Here I am bright and early on a Friday morning already wishing it was 3:30. What does that tell you about my week?? One of these days I will count the names I get called during the week.

I am excited about going to church on Sunday. Kirk Cameron is going to speak. Remember him from Growing Pains. What a cutie!

Went to the Y on Wednesday night, worked out for an hour. After I got home Tiffany was in a chatty mood so I talked to her for a while. I was so tired yesterday late nights don't agree with me.

Denine-have you tried letting Kaleigh put the food in her own mouth? Maybe she wouldn't chock if she felt it was her doing.

Lori & Sandy-How does about the third weekend in August for the barbecue at Mom's sound?? Summer should be winding down by then and it will still be nice out.

Barb:smooth:

Another 3 yards of mulch on the way. Then we will be finished with that task and can move on to another.

Bonnie: Welcome back! Glad you had a great time in Chicago!

About Kaleigh: Barb, I am thinking the same thing. Since she eats cheerios by herself and doesn't choke or gag, that maybe if she pickes up the apple dices by herself she won't gag either. yesterday I tried giving her some fruit with pieces in it (stage 3 foods) and again, she was gagging. I am just going to offer tha apple dices, cheerios and wagon wheels and see what happens.
On another note: I think she will be crawling soon. This morning, she was getting frustrated because she couldn't reach a toy she wanted. She kept putting her one leg under her and trying to go forward. This is a first.
I also think she may have an umbilical hernia. Her belly button really protrudes, especially if she is crying or putting stress on her tummy in some way. It kind of looks like the picture in my pediatric nursing book, just not as bad. I'll have the doc look next week.

It looks like Julie may need the ark down in Florida. They have been getting a lot of rain and more is forecast for the whole weekend. I hope they are still having fun. At least it is warm.

Barb: I haven't heard anything about Kirk Cameron in a long time. Enjoy!

What a wet wet wet Spring everyone is having!! In Colorado it has been wonderful. We have sun in the morning and rain in the late afternoon. Not so much that things are flooding but enough so the grass is green. We are having in my mind the perfect weather. I feel for you Denied having so much rain it is ruining your days. Most days here it only rains for about an hour. What a bummer to have rain at Disney. Hope it is not ruining their vacation.

Barb:smooth:

Yes by Barb and Denine but that is all! Barb makes up for her lack of posting.

Of course Sandy is away...I thought she was back on Thurs for the night tho, and Julie is swimming in FL but what about the rest?

I am back full force whining aren't I? LOL! Rain, Rain Rain here...Now I am developing gills and the web feet are turning into fins!!! And cold on top of it!!! 4th of July is only 2 weeks away what is up with that! The Ice Cream Man is outside...doubt he will get much business in this weather!

Here's a cute letter home. If anyone is in a hurry to get all of your reading done, SKIP THIS. IT'S OK. There's no important news in it, just a funny for Bonnie to enjoy reading, because she's winkin' and whining over there.;) And, it will count as a POST after all!
Subject: Why Southerners Make Good Marines

Dear Pa &Ma,

Am well, Hope you are too. Tell brother Walt and brother Elmer the Marine Corps beats working for old man Minch by a mile. Tell them to join up quick before all of the places are filled.

I was restless at first because you got to stay in bed till nearly 6 a.m., but am getting so I like to sleep late. Tell Walt &Elmer all you do before breakfast is smooth your cot and shine some things. No hogs to slop, feed to pitch, mash to mix, wood to split, fire to lay. Practically nothing.

Men got to shave but it is not so bad, they git warm water. Breakfast is strong on trimmings. Like fruit juice, cereal, eggs, bacon, etc..., but kind of weak on chops, potatoes, ham, steak, fried eggplant, pie, and other regular food. But tell Walt &Elmer you can always sit between two city boys that live on coffee. Their food plus yours holds you till noon, when you get fed
again. It's no wonder these city boys can't walk much..

We go on "route" marches with the Platoon Sergeant who says they're long walks to harden us. If he thinks so, it is not my place to tell him different. A "route march" is about as far as to our mailbox at home. Then the city guys get sore feet and we all ride back in trucks. The country is nice, but awful flat.

The Sergeant is like a schoolteacher. He nags some. The Capt. is like the school board. Majors and Colonels just ride around &frown. They don't bother you none.

This next will kill Walt &Elmer with laughing. I keep getting medals for shooting. I don't know why. The bulls-eye is near as big as a chipmunk and don't move. And it ain't shooting at you, like the Higgett boys at home. All you got to do is lie there all comfortable and hit it. You don't even load your own cartridges. They come in boxes.

Be sure to tell Walt &Elmer to hurry &join before other fellers get onto this setup &come stampeding in.

Your loving daughter,

Gail

Hi, Bonnie. I am around. I worked late then met Paul and Turner for a movie. I totally understand how you feel about the rain. We are 16 inches ABOVE normal for the year so far and the last few years we ended up with a hige deficit at the end of each year. Tomorrow is supposed to be a little cooler and drier. I'll believe it when I see it! We need to work in the yard tomorrow but I am sure we will be sloshing around.

Turner has hockey camp all next week. We have a meeting to go to Sunday afternoon and then he is in camp from around 8:00-5:00 Mon - Fri. He's really looking forward to that.

I'll be back on again tomorrow. We have to keep the thread on the first page for everyone.

Later!

Getting ready to take mom to the airport then I will continue on from there and go see Olivia!!!!!!!! YEA!!!!!! Then of course hit the big Talbot's down there....semi annual sale...oh oh...there goes the pocket book. I can see saying to Glenn...oops can't come out, spent the airfare money in Talbot's!
Not to worry Glenn...I would never do that.LOL!

Lori- I loved the letter...yes it does count as a post...especially when I thought no not Gail...that would be Lori our motorcycle mama!

Susan- sounds like a busy weekend for you. Good luck to Turner at his Hockey camp. I can't believe in NC a hockey camp in the summer. Truly addicted he is...someday I will say I knew him when...

Take care.

Good Morning. We have a bright blue sky and it looks beautiful. Yard work awaits! Hope the nice weather makes it to you, Bonnie.

Good morning. It is actually mostly sunny, a little cool, but sunny. Jerry is finishing up in the yard, Kaleigh is napping and I am doing laundry.

Tomorrow we have a graduation party to go to and it is supposed to be 80 and sunny. Unheard of this year.

Lori: Funny post!

Bonnie: Have fun with Olivia and shopping.

Sue: Enjoy your yard work.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Oh, that Motorcycle 'Momma' term just reminded me of something. Well, the 'Momma' part did anyway. So, I have just emailed you all that picture of the cute little alligator.
Speaking of bikes though, there are some boots I want to go get this morning before our weekend of camping and riding, so I'm OFF. Have a good weekend everybody, see you Monday.
