I need college graduation present ideas. My friend is graduating May 9th and will be headed on to grad school in the Fall. She has been so sweet and gotten presents for Kaleigh and for us. I was thinking a sampler package from Steiner, the spa people.
She is a Disney nut, but I am afraid that other people will get her that stuff. She is studying library science. Is this a good idea? Or should I keep thinking?

Just a quick check in. I had to completely reload my OS and upgraded to AOL8.0 as long as I had to reload it anyway. Just checking it out. I'm glad my address list stayed with me, all of the filing cabinet emails that I was keeping are gone though. Sigh.... gotta love these computers. Time to go thru other programs and see what else needs reloading. I guess this is one way to clean stuff out. Good news for Turner! Sally, good to hear from you.

Off today for Good Friday. Gotta love working corporate! 3 day weekend this week...then 5 days of work...then..."San Francisco here I come! Right back where I started from!" Well, the same state anyway! LOL!

Yesterday I spent the day in training so I didn't get to post much.

Jason is here visiting until the end of April then he is going overseas But hopefully he will be home in December for
our Disney vacation.

Happy Easter a little early. I should be on tomorrow after work. Jerry is taking Kaleigh to his parents house and probably won't be home until after 1PM. I get the whole house to myself for a few hours!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I will just do the spa sampler for my friend. I would have no idea what kind of book to get her, nor do I have time to look.

Where did Spring go? New Jersey is back to the winter weather. Just came home from Atlantic City & the weather was freezing. I did take a walk on the boardwalk but the wind went right through you. It was COLD!!!! I don't gamble but my son got a free room at "Showboat" & my aunt, daughter, son & myself went down Thursday for the night. My aunt is the "real" gambler.

Sorry to say Joyce & I are working this weekend. It is not even considered a holiday and I understand we work it for the next EIGHT years. I worked a "critical" shift Wednesday night & had a really good night.

I really have a very boring life but boring is better then some types of excitement. I'll take boring any time. Hope you all have a Happy & Blessed Easter. Toodles JEANNE

I am home after an exhausting day. I am trying to put together Easter dinner for 11 people, clean, shop and then today is my Mom's birthday and top of all that I am preparing for Graduation including announcementsand shopping for food and clothes. If that isn't enough we have had wedding things to do. I can't keep going at this pace. Tonight I am just going to veg out whether or not things get done.

Too tired to go back and read. Hope everyone is doing great. I will try and get on more after Easter. But after Easter I have to start getting the RV ready for the season and continue on with graduation and the wedding. Oh well, there is always tomorrow.

Hi, everyone. Cold here in North Carolina today too. And rain, rain, rain, rain , rain. PAul has been out of town all week and just got home tonight. We sure are glad to have him home for the Easter weekend.

I am taking several days off next week since Turner has spring break. If the weather clears back up, I'll finally do some yard work. I will have flowers this year! I've neglected the yard for the past couple of years and I'm not going to let that happen this year.

We're going to some friends' house for dinner tomorrow and then a family dinner on Sunday. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Wishing good weather for the luau!

Sandy, you need to slow down! Take a little time for you and definitely veg or relax. Maybe a glass or two or three of wine.

Denine -- I think that the spa idea would make a great graduation gift!! After all of the hard work and studying, relaxation would be much appreciated!!

I hope to be enjoying a much needed 4 day weekend. I am having my family for Easter and to also celebrate Kristen's birthday! Nothing like killing 2 birds with one stone!! LOL!!
Saturday I will spend cleaning and a couple of last minute cooking preparations. Monday I will definitely RELAX!!

Good morning all! Just got back from the doctor's everything ok. Bumps on joints...arthritis, cholesteral better but still not perfect. Happy with bp, weight loss etc.

Good morning! I had to work this morning, but I came home to a quiet house! Work was OK, I am just very concerned about one of our long time residents. She really looked awful this AM. Her husband lives with her and keeps making excuses as to why she is short of breath, can't stand, can't swallow her medications... He is in denial that anything is wrong with her. She has an MD appt. on Tuesday if she isn't in the hospital before then. She just has that "look" about her.

So far, my quiet morning has been finishing the laundry, straightening the house and gettign things ready to leave by 3 PM for our friends huse for dinner. Tomorrow I work again, then church , then dinner at Jerry's parents.

I forgot. I got the mail yesterday. I was so excited to see something from a judge in Lake county. I ran up the driveway and opened it. We got our court date...for the 23rd of May !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our Social worker specifically asked for a date before May 17th because we are leaving that day for WDW. We will not be in town. I called the SW, but of course, yesterday was Good Friday. Catholic Charities was not open. I left a message with the answering service. Now we have to wait until Monday. I was so upset yeasterday that I was crying. I so wanted Kaleigh to be leagally ours for our trip. Not only will she not be, but we have to have another visit with the SW, probably update our homestudy which is another visit and not get a court date until June.
Jerry keeps asking me if they are going to take Kaleigh because we won't be in town for that court date. I have to keep reassuring him they won't do that. This is so messed up!!!!!! Why can't anyone ever do anything right?????????? Why does this always happen on a holiday weekend????????
We aren't telling our parents yet, especially Jerry's. I had to get it off my chest though.

Oh Denine! I'm sorry for the huge frustration this is. Man, 1st the cruise was booked way in advance and, surprise!!! you finally get a baby! Now the court date just *has* to be during WDW. Hummm, seems like they are making you choose favorites. I can see why Jerry would be cautious. Double check that it won't look bad if you delay the court date. It's not like you just aren't going to show up. It will be officially rescheduled, right? I wonder if there is another way to get it scheduled before May 17th. Oh, what a hassle. The tests and trials of parenthood. Good luck, hang in there.
