Oct.19, 02 Cruisers AGAIN

John Kay & Steppenwolf once played at the "Ice House" (which is now a strip mall) in Cherry Hill & we knew the intro group "Johnny Caswell & the Crystal Mansion" so we got to party with them! Don't tell me we're all ex-groupies! When I was younger I really did ONLY date musicians but I outgrew my musician days.

Thanks for not interrupting last night. Paul and I had a nice evening ALONE!!!

Today has been busy with 7:30 mass, out for breakfast, then to pick up Turner. Came home and began housework that has been neglected. I got a lot done and now I am pooped. A friend is on her way over and we are going to attempt rollerblading with Turner. I have all my pads and my wrist guards. Wish me luck!

Well, an hour there, an hour back and the shower is over. My mom must be starving....all she would eat is desert.
They made out like badits!!! Including gift certificates to Babies r Us. She is starting to get quite big! I think maybe an 8 Lb baby in there. Will be a big one for a girl ... I didn't dare tell her though. Either that or staying home she is eating more. She still looks good pregnant.
Of course I think Ryan is eating for both of them by the looks of it.

Just got back from the ER!! No, I didn't get hurt rollerblading. However, after dinner, Turner had a bike accident with a neighbor. After 3 1/2 hours in the ER, the x-rays of his wrist are negative but the pain is in an area where they say fractures do not always show on the x-ray and they are are common in kids. So, Turner has a splint and we have to make an appointment with the orthopedic specialist this week. If all goes well at that appointment, he'll be cleared to play sports again! If not, he'll probably get a cast. He's one bummed out kid! Four years ago I broke my wrist and had to be in a cast for 10 weeks. I hope he is luckier than I was!

I got a new motorcycle today! It has an electric start! Yippee. Ahh, the perks of getting old. LOL I decided, "Hey, I'm 40! It's time to have an electric start on my dirt bike, dag nabbit!" She's a beauty. 400cc rather than 250 like my old bike. A good dual sport. I need to go get her registered and licensed tomorrow.

Lori, You would never catch me on a motorcycle!!!!!! NEVER! I went on one as a child...didn't know any better then...come to think of it I guess the adults at that time didn't know any better either. LOL! Take pictures so we can see the motorcycle mama!

Oh Sue poor turner. Is it swollen and blue? Can he move it? I hope it all turns out ok.

Good Monday Morning!!

The weather in Colorado has been so beautiful. Yesterday I started the long hall of cleaning up the yard. I want to get my pond cleaned this week.

This past weekend started the production of The Thorn at our church. It is really something. Fireworks and everything. Bob has been in it for 6 years. I had not seen him in costume so Saturday night when I walked in I didn't recognize him. I notice this man watching and smiling at me finally I walked over to him and took a good look. He looks so different in makeup and a long beard. Bob is in the Air Force and always clean shaven. I am not use to seeing him like that. We go to a really large church there are about 10,000 members so when I saw him I really was shocked.

Sandy I would love to hear the story of the naked guy in the bathroom!! You must have a wild past. Now I know what will be the topic of our next lunch together!!

Susan how is Turner doing?? I hope he heals really fast.

Denine you are so lucky to be going to Disney for that festival. Wish I was going. Wonder why they are not even mentioning it on the website. Guess it must be because of the war.

Mom should be back today. I hope. I miss her and have not heard from her in over a week.

Good morning!

We had a busy weekend for a change. Went to a friends Saturday night, didn't get home until 1:30 AM, which is earlier than usual. Kaleigh was completely fascinated with the kids. She just took everthing in.
Yesterday we went to church and saw Jerry's parents, so we ended up sitting by them. I don't think they paid too much attention to church, more to Kaleigh who was a perfect angel. My parents came over in the afternoon. I don't know who had more fun, her or them!
We went for a walk in the afternoon. Jerry cut the grass for the 1st time on Friday. I was able to prune my roses while Kaleigh sat in her stroller. Jerry also worked from home on Friday.

It is supposed to be 73 today and 79 tomorrow, then back to cold and rain. I actually have Kaleigh in short sleeves today. It will be shorts tomorrow. I bought her a bathing suit. It is so cute. It will be a little big on her next month, but she should be able to wear it all summer. We're going to get one of those little splash pools and put it on the deck.

We saw Davey Jones at the Flower Festival one year, it was amazing the number of screaming female groupies! We saw a horrible group 2 years ago. I had heard of them, the Yardbirds maybe? They were awful!!!!!!!!!!! I have never heard such depressing music. We got up and left.

I just took the flannel sheets off the bed. I hope I am not making a mistake!

Sue: I hope Turner's wrist is OK!

Bonnie: It sounds like the baby shower went fine. I was a 9 lb baby. My friend, at work, has 2 girls and a boy, 9, 10 & 11 pounds. She is pregnant again and states that she is not going to have a 12 pound baby!

Lori: We have a friend that is really into motorcycles. His daughter bought one, but had to sell it because she got prgnant and was getting married. You can't ride a motorcycle pregnant!

My goodness, it is surprising what a little sun does for everyone. Can't believe all the posts I had to read this morning.

First of all, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, JEANNE! Do anything fun on your special day?

Poor, poor Turner. Hope he doesn't need that ##**@@ cast! A sports enthusiast like him doesn't want to be held back from anything. My girls each had one cast. I hated them! The showering issue was awful. They took a bath and I would pay a stylist to wash their long hair.

You were kept busy Denine. Sounds like you had fun. Our weather is going to be about the same as yours this week.

No stories about the naked guy in the motel bathroom, Barb. Sorry! Actually, I don't have a wild past. Pretty much that was IT!

I think Lori should change her signature here. She can be Motorcycle Mama. That is pretty cool Lori. An electric start on anything is a big improvement. I have to hand it to you. I definitely couldn't do the motorcycle thing. Surprise, surprise! Nervous nellie just surfaced again.

Bonnie, the baby shower sounded like it went fine. At least, very profitable. Babies r Us is a wonderful store. Right Denine?!

Speaking of babies----Denine, I have been seeing the reclining highchair everywhere now. I will make sure my girls get one that's for sure! How is Kaleigh doing in the food dept?

Gotta go and do some spring cleaning. Washed windows yesterday. I have to do something with all this clutter before graduation.

Sandy: Yes, Babies R Us is a wonderful place! I took a week off from feeding Kaleigh. I knew that it was a bad week for me, that I would have no patience for feeding. Kaleigh did have a whole small jar of applesauce on Friday and 1/2 a big jar of apricots with mixed fruit yesterday. The other 1/2 goes in when she wakes up from her nap.

Casts: I had one cast.... a body cast! A small arm cast is nothing compared to a body cast for 3 months. And, I got lucky, it could have been for 6 months like my friend!

This weekend is going to be even busier. I have to work, plus we are going to the friend mentioned above house on Saturday. Sunday is Easter. I don't know if we will make it to church, we will try. Then to Jerry's parents for dinner. Also, Saturday morning, Jerry goes to his parents to grind the meat to make the Easter meatloaf. He will take Kaleigh with him. We usually take the food to church to have it blessed, but his parents will have to do it this year, there is no time for us to do it.

Thanks for all the thoughts for Turner. I let him stay home today. We both needed to sleep in. I've been putting the ice pack on a couple of times today. He is not complaining as much as last night. We have the orthopedic appointment Wednesday afternoon. He is so ready for this to be over with. I hope for his sake Wednesday goes well.

We've played a few board games today and went by his school to pick up more work. His school is closed tomorrow because the chism mass is being held in the cathedral and his school is attached to the cathedral so they get a free day off. He goes back on Wednesday and then only has a 1/2 day on Thursday. Then he is out until the 28th!

I took my first ballet class in over 20 years after work tonight!!!!! I did the bar and floor exercises...it came time to do the dancing and my legs were rubber!!! I left after an hour...told them I was too old for that class and would be back for the beginner I class! LOL! I could barely walk down the steps!!!! Rubbery legs!
Some young guy...1/2 my age walked out not long after me stating "that is not a beginner II class!" I felt better! LOL!

Someone will have to come help me out of bed tomorrow!!! HELP!

Glad Turner is feeling less pain...keep us up to date on it all Sue. We got up to 68 today...70's tomorrow then like Denine rain and cold later in the week.

Bonnie. WOW a ballet class! You are awesome! I don't think that I could do that. I did take karate about 8 years ago and got all the way to a brown belt. Does that count?

Glad to hear that Turner has had the chance to rest the arm. Hopefully wednesday will bring you both good news! I will keep my fingers crossed for you!
