Oct.19, 02 Cruisers AGAIN

I am not doing well with WW this week. Big juicy hamburger and some fries at lunch. The other supervisor took me out to lunch...I'll tell you switch positions in a company and everyone wants to take you out to lunch! LOL!

It is a great team of nurses that will be working under me. I can't say a bad thing about any of them! I just have to get the lay of the land. I bought a daytimer, YUK!, today at the suggestion of my manager. I usually put everything on the computer at work but with all the different meetings I will have to use both...the computer to remind me and the daytimer which inevitably I will forget to look at! LOL! I will have to get organized now....the sign of non-creativity....boo hoo! I will still hang my unorganized sign though.

Not much new today...went to a fun class/presentation...played a financial game all afternoon...our team won of course! Found out all about how the financials work at our company. Oh...the prize for winning was a PayDay bar...of course I ate it!

So sorry to here about Missy's boyfriend going over there. I will keep him in my prayers.

Sent an email to Darren...full of questions...will see if and/or when he gets back to me. He must be exhausted!

Barb, tell Missy that our family will keep Mike and her and the two families in our thoughts and prayers. Stay safe Mike and come home soon!

Nothing too exciting going on here. Been real tired lately so whenever I can get a cat nap in I try to! (hasn't been too often I can say that!) Makenzie is LOVING her swimming lessons! She takes them at te YWCA on Saturday mornings. Poor Big Guy though, he is too young to take them but he so badly wants to be in the pool with them! Garry has been working hard. It seems like he is working every night! At least he is off for the next couple of days! Garry and I did watch Daren and the Magic leave St. Thomas today! Said Hi to Darren, but he didn't answer back! LOL Hopefully he will check in with someone soon! I'm dying to know how things are going for him.

Julie: all the avatar's are showing up for me. Maybe something was screwy with the boards.

I hope to get outside to work in the yard today. It is supposed to be decent. I don't know how my day will go because Kaleigh woke up 1-1/2 hours early! She fell asleep at 8:30 this morning. She doesn't normally nap until sometime after 10 AM.

We are in the planning process of our October trip. We were going back and forth about going on a cruise, but I just found out that we won't get Kaleigh's birth certificate until 6-9 months after finalization, so cruising is out. Right now, I can't wait until May!

Good Morning Everyone

Thanks again for the prayers for Mike. He leaves next Tuesday and they are really putting him through some hard trainning. Yesterday he worked from 6:00 am to 12:00 midnight and back to work at regular time this morning.

I compromised with Tiffany who asks almost on a daily bases to go to the movies with Nathan and some more friends, and told her she could go out with Bob and I to a movie on Saturday night and Nathan could come over and play cards on Sunday evening.
I AM NOT READY FOR THIS!!!!!!! Jaymee was so easy to raise. Tiffany is more challenging!!

Suppose to get more snow today. These late snows are so good for the grass.

Denine, I was curious what you were doing for Jerry. I know that Ted would NEVER try your diet. First thought of his was "where's the beef?" I still have to cook anyway for Heidi and Ted. It is never easy for me.

Bonnie, sounds like you are adjusting very good. I would have eaten the payday bar, too. After all, you earned it!! I have been craving a hamb and fries. Shame on you for telling us you had a big fat juicy one.

H e l l o Julie. Good to hear from you. My little Noah loves his swimming lessons. At that age it is kind of amazing. Our girls took swimming lessons at 6 months. I am surprised that they don't have lessons for the Big Guy!

Barb, sounds like a good plan! I am sure that things will work out. We were definitely lucky. With twins, they hung out together. They pretty much had the same set of friends. Good luck!

More snow on the way today like Barb said. Somewhere between 3-6 inches. That isn't the problem. It is the horrific wind. Kept me up all night. So I am tired and cranky. Look out little ones!! Ahhh, I am not that bad, honest.

Ok, so I am not in a bad mood. My secret is out.

The day is going just great. Noah and I are now going to do a painting craft. Now that might just send me the other way.

It has started snowing. Sure wish Stacey was home. I hate the thought of the young girls driving over two passes in this stuff. The interstate was closed last night in the mtns. Last snowstorm the interstate was closed for a couple of days stranding some motorists in their cars. Some ran out of gas so they didn't even have heat. Sometimes I think life would have been a breeze without kids. BUT......wouldn't change a thing.

I Found Them!!!!!!!!!!! Kaleigh's first 2 teeth are just starting to show on the bottom!!!!!!!!!

I was able to rake the leaves out of the flower beds and cut out some dead stuff. I had to leave the leaves in piles though because I couldn't leave Kaleigh to get the wheel barrow. I still have some weeding to do. I tried this afternoon because Kaleigh didn't want to take a nap, at least not until we got outside in the backyard. So we came in and I put her in her crib and took a shower.

Sandy: Hope the girls get home alright. Life was easier without Kaleigh, but it didn't really have any meaning.

Jerry gained more weight than I did after the cruise. He was happy to move his belt one more notch.

Jerry called and made our October reservations for WDW. Food & Wine Festival, here we come!!!!!!! Now we are going in October, the very last day of November and the first part of December. Works for me!!!!!!!!!! I am still waiting for May though. But, at least come Monday, I can say we are going next month!

WAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!! A bunch of kids just came to my door to sell me chocolate and I had to say no. It was probably Malley's chocolate too!!!!

Had a veggie burger for lunch...no fries. I am staying away from the cafeteria at work since their food seems to be steeped in fat! I really do have to get some weight off for San Fran...my cousin has clothing samples so I am hoping to raid her booth at the sample sale!

Good idea Barb...they can even sit in a different area of the theater so they feel like they are on a "real date". You will let them do that right? What is the driving age out there? Does Nathan drive???? I never had that problem in hs myself...nobody ever asked me out! I never even got to go to a single prom. My son on the other hand went to every formal and semi-formal there was...the girls asked him! LOL!

Yeah Kaleigh!!! Teeth!!!


No word from Darren yet...I imagine he falls into bed at night...and spends his hours off with laundry and such. Wish we would here from him.

Sorry that it's been so long but I have been working in the garden on & off all weekend & Wednesday & today. It really looks nice! I planted some of the "hardy" pansies & hostas since the front of the house is really shaded. I was sore before & now I am MORE sore.

SANDY: I love the sweatshirt or t-shirt idea for the cruise & I know Joyce will go along with anything.

BONNIE: Good luck in your new position. I guess you know I hate changing jobs since I will be at Virtua 20 years this October!

Thanks Jeannie...I still feel a little lost....was hoping to feel more supervisory but I think it is a little hard for the current supervisor to hand over some duties...will have to have a talk with her.

Shopping for my DIL shower gift on Saturday, refrig on Sunday with mom and aunt from Boston. And of course breakfst out! My favorite meal to eat out!

Another beautiful day in New Jersey! This weekend it is supposed to rain but that's okay with me since I have to work.

Tonight my son & I are going to a party with people he used to work with at the hospital at a place called "Goodfellows". I'm not sure if that's a national franchise.

BONNIE: It's getting close to "Grandmom" time. Joyce's DIL is due next month. Does Ryan know what it is yet?

Just wanting to say hi before I starting my day. Today in Ohio it is suppose to be in the 70's today and then this weekend and the beginning of next weekend it is suppose to SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tomorrow it is only going to be in the 40's and then only in the 30's. I wish the weather would make up its mind.

I am being brave today, I put on shorts since it supposed to be halfway warm. The weather is supposed to get yucky like Julie said.

We had a deer at the birdfeeder last night. I was playing with Kaleigh on the floor, got up to get something and there she was. They frustrate me a lot, but I still love to see them in my yard, especially the babies with their spots, like bambi.

Jerry got the front brakes and rotors changed last night.

He is hoping to cut out early today because there is supposed to be a big anti-war rally downtown. They have vowed to block streets and snarl traffic.

Yea, Kaleigh has teeth. It is always sooo cute to see those little teeth peeking through when she smiles! I am going grocery shopping today for all of your diet goodies. I CAN DO IT!

Jeanne, hmmmm, I think I remember the name! Nah, just kidding. Give peace a chance makes me want to break out into song. Can you tell my age? No flowers here. Ted and I are too busy in the summer. Makes me jealous though when all of you talk about your flowers. Just can't give up camping to water flowers. Plus, Ted would run anything over with the lawnmower anyway. No Goodfellows here. Wish I could go to a party. Heidi's Bryan is coming down for a "talk" so I have to find something to do. I don't want to see him. I have been so angry instead of sad lately. I really don't have a temper but I am afraid I would say something that HEIDI would regret. A party at Goodfellows would be up my alley.

The snow didn't happen. It was snow showers but no big deal. The mtns got like a foot or something. Not sure where Lori is, I think they got a lot. Today to remain a little chilly and then we shoot back into the 60's. Stacey is due back today. Cross your fingers.

Bonnie, my favorite meal out is breakfast, also. How funny. I really don't think that there are too many of us out there!

Gray skies here...drizzle but still got up to 61 today. I can't complain. Well I survived my first week on the job!!! Did do too much supervising....signed up for a bunch of classes...forwarded to my manager for approval...wait till she sees them all! LOL!

Funny how I can't get away from the training...they want me to train the federal BC claims people on one of the systems we use...oh well...they're paying me the high salary so I won't complain.

Give Peace a Chance is a good one Sandy. I personally like Let There Be Peace on Earth...Jeanne will tell you...she laughs at my crying.

Jeanne...I am surprised you planted flowers already...I hope they survive. I remember getting frost in May in the recent past. Wouldn't put them in until the weekend before Memorial Day.

Baby shower shopping this AM with my friend Linda. It should be fun I hope. Of course possible shopping tomorrow with mom may put me in a tailspin...2 days in a row! YUK!

Another gray day but it is supposed to go up to 70 today...of course it is only going to be a high of 48 tomorrow. Welcome to spring!
