Colorado's snow is our rain...it is pouring here....just did grocery shopping.

Lori I hope your deck survived. Still wondering how far away you are from work that you walked in a blizzard! I think you should get double time for that.

Well...one more day at my old job, one more day till Glenn comes! Let's see what am I more excited about??? LOL!

We may look at cars on Monday although someone at work knows of a Civic that may be available for sale...it was literally driven to church and back by a little old lady! Won't make a decision on Monday but will have an idea what is available and at what price. Will probably go with a Civic....I can't believe the prices of used cars! I can remember when $5000 was a lot of money for a used car...heck I can remember paying that much for a nice new one!

Taken to lunch today...the team gave me a gift certificate to Talbot's! My favorite store....when they have their sales!!! They do things sooo nice...it came in a nice cloth pouch that ties with a black ribbon! If I was into jewelry it would be great for that. Oh well...will find something to do with that one!

Chatty tonight aren't I? Just bouncy that's all! :Pinkbounc

Hope you are all ok out there in CO...keep us up to date.

A beautiful sunny day here. Lots and lots of melting going on. Main streets are narrow but ok to drive. Side streets are awful. We were sooooooooo lucky. Someone 2 doors down hired a bobcat to come dig them out so he plowed the street down to their house and then did their driveway and sidewalk. He just did one swipe but if it wasn't for him we would still be stuck here. Ted got the car home then and we went shopping and out to lunch. All in all had a great day. Now it is laundry all over again. Thinking of you Susan on that!

Way to go, Sally. Before you know it you will be down to where you want to be.

Bonnie, Civics are very nice cars. That is a good choice.

Heard that a lot of you guys would get rain out of our storm. But that isn't as bad as the snow! We are probably looking at another big storm next Thursday and Friday. Have to wait and see. Actually, most people are not complaining about it. We need it and if it helps out the water restrictions more power to the snow!

If I remember right, Lori, lives like 3 or 4 blks away from her work. Just thought that I would help Bonnie out until Lori gets back on.

Have a good evening!

We're on page 2! How weird it that? Hi all, I'm here. Yep, Sandy is right, I'm really darn close to work. Just getting to the edge of the medical center complex is the halfway point. I had to snowshoe out of the neighborhood, then I just walked down the middle of the larger street leading there and then the streets in the complex were all plowed. Took probably 20 mins. On a nice day, it takes 10.
We had a block party today. Everyone worked together to get a main path down the street dug out, then worked together to get each persons driveway cleared to that path. Ben ran our truck up and down it a few times, getting stuck, ohh 6 times or so, and everyone dug him out each time. It takes a village to go for a milk run, around here. Wish someone had rented a bobcat! One neighbor had a Fri morning plane to catch, so we really wanted to get her out, and the family at the end of our cul-de-sac has some medical issues, so there needed to be emergency access to their house. Everyone can get out to the main street now. Just watch the plows finally come tomorrow morning or something. My Mom's neighborhood got plowed today, but others are told not until Saturday. Well, it's done anyway.
I think my deck might still be basically there. We can only see the top of the railing and its sagging, but maybe it's just the rail and not the deck that it's sitting on, that's sagging. It's so old, we chose not to bother clearing it. Whatever will be, will be...eh Doris? Well, I cleared the way to my hottub and my back is crying, so that's it for my news. (Sorry all I did was talk about ME!) Talk to you later.
Oh, Sally, I heard that some peak not far got 81 inches just from this storm.

Bonnie - glad tomorrow is the last day for the old job and you have a great weekend in store!

I had one small slice of cheese pizza and some fresh strawberries for dinner. I am very happy with my progress today. Sally and Denine will be my motivators! You too, Sandy. You have faith in me!!

Turner had NO homework tonight!! He also went to bed on his own and was asleep before his normal bedtime. I sure hope that doesn't mean he is coming down with something!

Bonnie - we have a Talbot's Outlet Store a couple of miles from here. I bought two dresses and a blouse last week for a total under $80.00. Hopefully, I won't be able to wear the dresses long since I will be losing some weight!!!

TG(T)IF Thank God (Tomorrow) is Friday!!

Later!

Wow! All that for under $80! I am so jealous. I hear we have a Talbots outlet at Franklin Mills Mall which is all outlets but I never get over there...it's in NE Phila.

What a nice neighborhood you live in Lori! When we had our snow I was lucky to borrow shovels from the men who were doing the walks but we have 2 young men that live on the end...after I dug out the one car they came along and dug theirs out and put the snow back to where I had dug out! Then they pulled into the spot that the old lady had dug out!!! Generally people are nice except those 2. They ruin it for the rest of us!

Susan-11 points for 1 slice of pizza! To me it isn't worth it! Although I must admit that I have not been good on WW lately. Not gaining but not losing either....I have to get back to it I still have another 30# to lose!

First the war starts & then our Discussion Board is gone .... again!

Working three 12 hour shifts has its advantages but it also has its disadvantages. It always gets busier & the problems always occur on the last of my three days in a row. I am REALLY tired tonight.

I guess you Coloradians know how we New Jerseyans felt a little while ago "SNOWED IN"! Now your snow is our rain. It has been raining all day.

Tomorrow is going to be a really fun day. At 4:00 PM there is a big retirement party for someone I have worked with for 20 years. It is at a restaurant close to Bonnies called Barons. I can't wait!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Hope you stay warm, safe & healthy. Toodles JEANNE

Hi everyone! No real news here, just glad to see that everyone has found their way to the new thread (except for Diana! I sure hope she is ok).

Lori, you really have a great neighborhood! Our neighbors are nice, but not that nice. We really only talk to the one set of neighbors. The other side of us, both of them pasted away. One in Nov. and the other in Jan.

Sandy, I'm glad you got your snow! Hopefully things will be better in a few days. (just in time for another storm!)

Bonnie, have a GREAT LAST DAY on your old job! I'm sure you will celebrate all weekend! We didn't get any rain yet, but we are expected to get a good storm tonight.

Garry spent last night chasing down a guy who was going through the city and taking people's American Flags off their houses and throwing them on the ground. Nice Huh!

Well, gonna go. Hopefully I will be able to get on earlier tomorrow.

Another headache and I can't sleep! What would I do without this thread to keep me company? So glad to have you all as my friends!

Julie, tell Garry to find the flag nut and take care of him! That's not freedom of expression - it's trespassing and vandalism!

Support our troops and God Bless America!
Later!

TGIF...TGLDOOJ -thank heavens last day on old job! Of course now I have to be really politically correct! LOL!

Supposed to go up to 70 today and then a beautiful weekend ahead.

Sue I hope you headache goes away soon.

You may not hear from me for the next 3 days but I will check in on Monday night.

Have a good weekend all!!!! I will! I just have to remember on Tuesday to walk the 2 more blocks to the "Mother ship"

Quite chatty since yesterday morning!

Nothing much going on here. It is raining on and off, upper 50's.

Everyone will lose their weight!

Bonnie: I hope you have a wonderful weekend and last day on old job. I love Talbots when they are having their 75% clearance sale. But, I don't wear those kind of clothes much. I wear scrubs (Disney) to work. I have to work this weekend.

We signed the papers yesterday to refinance the house, yeah!!!! We were approved for the Disney credit card and should be receiving it soon. I like the commercial for it.

Can't help you with your car decision Bonnie, we buy strictly American. Never had a problem.

Lori: Sounds like you live in a great neighborhood. Our next door neighbor sometimes clears the end of our driveway with his snowblower and does the sidewalk in front of the house. We just use good old fashioned shovels. I try to think of calories being burned when I am shoveling.

Jeanne: I don't know how you do 3 12's in a row. I was always worn out after 2.

Hope you all have a good weekend!

Don't have a heart attack anyone, it really is me. Have been sooooooo busy and when I start on this board I can't seem to get anything else done.

Everything here is fine. My dad started chemo, we drove to West Palm Beach to see Greg's dad over March break (March 7-14). Didn't stop at my dad's since we had colds (STILL) and he could not be around that!

Thanks for the emails, sorry I haven't responded. I have no idea what is going on with you all so my apologies. Don't think I have the time right now to go back and read probably pages upon pages of the last thread. Did get Darren's email. Good for him. We don't know if we'll be cruising this fall. Depends on if the chemo works. He starts his second round today and then they will do some tests to see if it is helping.

Better go, have to pick up Annika at preschool in 10 minutes. I will check in once in a while, it'll help when hockey is over (March 29).

Think of all of you often. Kaleigh's pictures were GREAT! 6 months old already -- WOW -- doesn't time fly?

Hugs to you all.

p.s. we did NOT put our flag up just for the reason that Canada is not supporting this war (we are! even though Penny's (my Dad's wife) son is leaving to go over today or Sunday -- keep him in your prayers please).

Good Morning Everyone!!

Friday Friday Friday....... Wonderful day of the week
Needs to come around more often.

We have not been able to hang our flag because of the weather but once we can we will be hanging it. Don't like war but fully support President Bush's decisions.

Things are melting. Yesterday when I left for work we were burried in snow. When I got home there was hardly any snow to be seen. Typical Colorado weather!

Gotta close got a nasty customer on the phone

Barb

Home early today!!! Yippee!! It is sunny and 75 outside. I'm not gonna stay on the computer long. Gotta get my sun fix. I have been good all day with my eating!!! I feel energized by the sunshine!! Wish you all could be enjoying this weather too!

Later!

Wow, I couldn't believe it. Diana appeared. So glad to read that they are doing ok.

I was complaining that no one ever posts anymore and boy was yesterday a busy day here. Glad to see it.

A guy taking off the flags from the houses. How dumb!!!! We have been flying almost everyday since 9/11.

I had a very pleasant surprise today. I got an email from our tablemates from the last cruise. They heard of the snow and was thinking that we would much rather be on a cruise. NO DOUBT on that one!!!

Have a good weekend, Bonnie. We will all be thinking of you! :D

Jeanne, how can you work that many shifts? My brain wouldn't be able to function. I need my sleep!

Great neighborhood, Lori. We used to have that as original homeowners but now since most of them have moved it has changed drastically. Some feud, some get along and some pull together during times like this. I just can't understand why neighbors can't get along!

Maybe we will hear from Darren soon. Can't wait to hear all about the last couple of weeks.

Hi to all. Not much to report except.

HELLOOOOOOO DIANA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are so glad you are back in the group.
Let's see you have missed A TON. Bonnie has a beau, Colorado has too much snow, we have some great chats during wine nights, birthdays and anniversaries, weight watcher's crews, Darren is on the Magic!, oh and too many other things to mention.

Glad you are back, we missed you.
Krista

Hi guys. How great to hear from Diana! Hi Diana !!!!! Glad you are still around and doing OK.

More shoveling today. Tried to help dig out a few collapsed sheds on the block. I'm so glad our power stayed on, my cousin has had it out since Tuesday and is still without. Dug themselves a path to the BBQ grill, cooked up and served all of the meat, and they have improvised a refrigerator carved out of snow in the yard. (GOT to have cold orange juice!)

So Bonnie, was today your first day, or is Monday? Tell us how it goes.

Take care everyone. Sue, lose the headache!

Diana checked in!!!! Glad to hear you are safe and sound...I hope all goes well with your dad.

I have off on Monday since Glenn will be here. I start my new job on Tuesday. Of course I was bouncing off the walls today in anticipation of this weekend...that excitment has overpowered the job I'm afraid.

Now! We need Darren to check in...Ted???? Garry????

Bonnie BOuncing :Pinkbounc less than 24hours to go!!!!

If anyone in CO has pictures of the snow please forward them on...I would love to see them.

I'm moving to NC...75 degrees! Perfect!!!

Have a good weekend all...will check in tomorrow morning then not until Monday night...don't get too chatty!! I would not like to have to go back several pages.

Hi guys. I took some pictures this afternoon and have e-mailed them out to those of you I have addys for. Denine, yours came back. Do you have a new one? (I tried the one with a dnjns in it) And now I must apologize to those who do receive them. It took FOREVER to upload, so I fear that I've just sent you POSTER size pictures! I'll get this digital stuff figured out one of these days ... or not. Well, sorry about their size.

Anyone hear from Darren lately? I hope that someone on this weeks cruise will check in with us if they saw him.

Have a great weekend.

Wow!! Our snow was just a flurry compared to what you all got!!! The one with Cody in it...Is that the street blocked off with snow? Unbelievable!

My friend's sister was to leave for Mexico and can't get out until Monday now...unfortunately I was borrowing my friends car this weekend since she was gone until Wed. Now she isn't leaving until then so I have it Sat & Sun but not Monday. Oh well...best laid plans

Lori - now I know why I don't live in Colorado. That kind of snow NEVER happens here! Our city would be shut down for a week or more! I'll keep my sunshine and 70s (in other words, SPRING)!

Have a great weekend, Bonnie. Tell Glenn we said hello and that we are still waiting for him to post!

Tomorrow is my girls night out!! The long awaited Bon Jovi concert is tomorrow night!! The boys will be at a hockey game. It has been too long since I have been to a good concert. I hope it is as good as I am expecting it to be.

DIANA - please don't be a stranger. March 29 is not far off and hockey will be a thing of the past for you. We hope to hear from you more often after that. I still have your Dad in my prayers. Hope all goes well with round two. Please keep us posted.

Today was a salad, soup and fruit day. Plus, lots and lots of water. I even got a walk in. I hope this will make a difference this week.
