Oct. 16-23, 2010 - Bring Back the Magic

As far as those who are changing, I'm going to print out a few copies of the map to bring with me, so at 3pm at the Promenade Lounge we can note changes if there are any (either mistakes or upgrades).

I've got a busy week ahead of me, we pulled the suitcases down out of the attic yesterday and I'm going to start stuffing this evening (had to air them out to make sure there are no spiders or other creepies joining us!)

I even made custom Thornton Family Vacation T-Shirts with logos that include pictures of each family member's Patron Princess. And of course, our Fish Extended follows the same protocol with each pocket designed with the appropriate Disney character.

Honestly?? Myself

I have tons of tiaras, shirts/jammies that say princess or have tiaras on them, etc. And in my family I'm called 'Big Princess' and my great-niece is called "Little Princess" (well, when they aren't calling me other names that I can't mention here!)

I spent 12+ (yes, 12+) hours yesterday trying to make our FE. I was having our 'logo' redesigned for this cruise & by the time it was finished it was too late to have a nice embroidered FE made. So I tried to figure this thing out, which I eventually was able to do. The fabric portion is ok, could be better, but not earth-shatteringly bad. I had decided to transfer our logo onto the FE with iron-on transfer. So glad I tried on a scrap piece of fabric first! Our logo is too dark to show up on the FE. Then I decided to transfer iron-on onto white fabric, cut this out & then use fusable web to iron that onto the FE. Unfortunately the combination of these glues just messed everything up. The more I ironed (thinking I hadn't gotten it hot enough) the worse things got. Now I'm using elmers glue & superglue to get things to stay attached & the coloring of everything went south. The more you iron, the darker things get & the harder to see/read. So I really don't have time to mess with it anymore. I'm hoping that the fairies sprinkle some fairy dust on it after we get on board, and it MAGICally looks good. If not, it will at least serve its purpose & was a learning experience.

I have read bits and pieces of places that everyone is meeting prior to the cruise, and also on the cruise. Can someone please fill me in? We will be staying at the Radisson on Friday night and would LOVE to meet up with those of you planning something, and also on the ship...I think I read 3:00 in the Promenade Lounge? THANKS and we are getting SO excited!!! I packed yesterday....well most of it anyway....cannot WAIT to be leaving Friday morning heading SOUTH!!

We've never been there before....we always go to the Seafood Restaurant over on the bay...can't think of the name of it right now, haha...not sure if our friends will make it down in time for dinner, so it will probably just be the 3 of us...I will take the menu home and get the DH and DS to look it over, but it appears to have a little of everything and sounds YUMMY, too! Who do I notify if we want to get onboard???

The name of the other place there is Millikens Reef. I sure do wish more people ate there, my poor kid hasn't been scheduled to work for 2 weeks because business is so slow. Then again, they cost about 50% more than Grill's! Grills is a blast, a nice place that we locals go to for food, drinks & dancing to local bands. You'll enjoy it.

I just got off the phone with DVC member services. She told me that I do NOT get any type of credit/onboard credit for port charge changes/fuel surcharge changes. (she confirmed with DCL). She also told me that on Saturday I wouldn't be allowed to pay to upgrade cabin since I booked with points. Is she right?

Got back from fishing about an hour ago. Been gone all day we had a great day. I wanted to get one more day in before we left.
Nancy is having fun with our two youngest grandkids today.
This morning she had Hannah now we have Tucker here to eat supper with us then we will take him home after supper.
We are all packed and ready to go
The way it looks now we might have to use a wheel chair for Nancy at the World. She is still quit sore

That would be me. Ill add the 3 of you and pad the reservation by a few people jic. I told them the last time I talked to them, for up to 30, and there was 22 definites.
