Oct. 16-23, 2010 - Bring Back the Magic

Attention FE people: We may try to upgrade at the port. If we do, I will deliver our stuff the first day and put a bright pink post-it note on the gift with our cabin number.

Most of the packing is done. Just have the hanging stuff that I don't want to wrinkle to pack and some stuff we are still using.

How will DD and I make it through the next 2 days of school?

Ackkkk !! - Was I supposed to assign myself a FE Goodies Distribution Delivery Date? Yikes!

I dunno ... I guess Day At Sea on Monday would be a good time.

But here is the problem ... I have so many FE Goodies to distribute, I think I need a fork lift to carry it all!

Guess what DD Audrey (9) did this afternoon! She got into the 1/2 packed suitcase and got out the Pirate Costume stuff. She is so psyched up!

DD Katie (7) asked me today which car we are driving to Florida. I told her she could take either car, but the rest of us are flying. She decided to join us on Southwest.

Also, I hope I don't mess up the ship compass / navigation system with all the magnets on my door. I must have 10 Lbs. of door decorations.

I'm not sure what's up with Deck 10 in the early morning hours. I'm an early bird and I expect to be all over the ship most mornings. But please, please, tell me there is a place where I can get a cup of coffee at O'Dark hundred 5am please?

Ok, ok. I suppose it is obvious that I'm a 1st time Disney Cuiser. I'm so painfully excited ... exponentially more than my kids, even! I'm already thinking about our next D-Cruise ... but I don't yet have the guts to inform the DW of my diabolical plan to book our next vacation on the Disney Dream ... oh ... feeling faint ... even a little 'Dreamy' ......

Hope you and your family have a great time. It's great to be excited, even us experienced cruises still get excited like it's the first time. I doubt you will have any trouble convincing the wife to book another trip..

Had a fantastic mini DISMeet with Leisha tonight - we both had meatloaf made with filet mignon and macaroni-n-cheese with baked lobster. YUM!!!

On Friday, we get to have a much bigger DISMeet!

Good point.... Attention FE people: We also are going to try to upgrade at the port (is this a 'great minds think alike moment?) I sure hope we aren't both trying for the same cabin! lol I'll figure out some way to let you know our new cabin number.

I think we're all right there with you James! Nothing wrong with being really excited & working on magnets, FE stuff, etc. That's half the fun is the anticipation

I picked up the folder with my magnets in it this morning and you're right - it weighs a ton!

I don't know if you will believe this or not, but the excitement gets even worse once you've sailed with Mickey Just look at all the return cruisers here on the thread that can't stop talking (excitedly ) about their preparations. You are in for a real treat and will be spoiled, cruise-wise, forever. I have cruised with a number of other cruise lines and we've always found ourselves saying 'this isn't as nice as Disney' or 'Disney does this soooo much better'!

I'm not sure what time you're getting to the port, but there will be a bunch of us gathering over in the seating area on the right side of the terminal. We also have the 3PM meet in the Promenade Lounge on Deck 3.

I want to come to the pj party on deck 10!!!!! I am notorious for always running out for breakfast, walmart supplies, etc in my pajamas when I am on vacation. My mother just rants and raves about it - but hey some of my pjs are cuter than shorts and a tee shirt!!! I love vacations!!!

OK, DH is at work and DD and I are here trying to do school. ( We home school).

DH made 2 more magnets yesterday, so we should be good.

27-30 bottles of wine? I like wine, but that is a lot!

I am a Cinderella fan. DD looks like Ariel according to all the other princesses. She likes Aurora.

We leave in 3 days!
