Did that last Friday. Cancelled paper today. Have mail card all filled out to give to the mailman. I think all that's left is to put things in suitcases and get some cash.

I just finished reading a thread on the general cruise board that was talking about problems with the shuttle from the Radisson to the cruise terminal - scheduled for 10:00 pick up but didn't get to the port until 12:00 or later due to scheduling with other cruise ships in port.
Have any of you had an issue like this?

Doesn;t sound good, we have done it a few times and have never had trouble.

We didn't have any problem last year. We left the Raddison around 10:00AM and was at port about 15 Min later.
To my knowledge other than Disney theres only room for one other ship at that port. The way it sound NH Pixidust is talking about picking up people after the cruise. I might be wrong.

You do need to make a reservation for the shuttle. Not sure what happens if you don't, but I know there are a lot of people booked on the 10 AM.

Kathy as far as I know when we made our reservations at the Raddison last year and this year we were transferred to who ever handles the shuttle so they could get our names and the number of people going. I think they make more than one trip to Port Kathy so if you want the early shuttle you have to let them know. I know our names and Joanne and Roger are on for the 10:am .
Maybe it has changed since we called a couple months ago?

For what it's worth....we have stayed the Friday night before at the Radisson now at least three times and taken the shuttle. Each time we have booked ourselve on the 10 am shuttle.......it also seems that each year it becomes more and more of a zoo at shuttle time!
There can be 3 ships in port on Saturday- the shuttle services all three. One year the first shuttle out was to Carnival for a wedding.
There is a ton of people out waiting for the shuttle at 10- many of which never reserved it and think they can just get on....They do have one guy with the list of names of who reserved the shuttle who tries to keep things in order, but you need to be proactive to make sure you get on if you reserved.

So...this year since we are travelling with friends and there are 8 of us...we are doing the "keep the rental-drop off at the port-return the rental" thing. This way we avoid the shuttle debacle and I dont start my day off frustrated.

I think Sunday's are worse because there is also a RCCL ship in port also. If it looks too bad Roger can take us over and come back for a shuttle!!!

I know several of you will find this funny - we downgraded our reservation to a Category 11 on Friday (we were never happy with Deck 2) and guess which room we have ended up with - 7631 - the handicap accessible room! I am sure we will manage fine but I do hope the bed separates into twin beds or I will be sharing with my mum all week!!
We leave for Orlando Sat am but have so much to do before then - including probably repairing my classroom roof from the floods here.

We got ours also. Was just checking it out to make sure they had all our resivations and excursions in order and our online check in was done.

Thanks tons for teh reminder! I always want ot do it way out and forget until the last minute once I can.

Got a few of my favorite vacation shirts put aside. Shorts will be easy, as I only have a few pair that fit. Now to make sure the shorts that fit match the shirts.

Sorry but looking at the schedule the Magic will also be joined on Saturday by the Carnival Dream (which is huge) and a new addition of a Norwegain Sun for the first time on a Saturday over where the Carnival Sensation usually docks. It will therefore be a pretty busy day at the port.

Dan, we actually made our reservation for the 10 AM shuttle before you guys did. I remember something about Nancy called and they said it was too soon then I called and they took the reservation for us. I also made a reservation for Annika and Christian.
