Oh, and neither Pat or I see a credit for the fuel surcharge in Vacation Summary section.

I am still surprised we are getting it since we paid with points, but we will take what ever they want to send our way.

So the two of you that we know of who received the fuel surcharge back have paid with DVC points . . .does that make a difference somehow AND, why would it make a difference

I have a question, we are arriving on 10/11 in Orlando at 4:40 and taking Magical Express to AK Kidani Village. How long will it take to get to hotel? If it is not too late I would think we could go to MNSSHP or should I hold off until Tuesday?

Im thinking itll take about 90 minutes or so, to get to the MK gates. Id say wait until tues.

Here's my two cents: I would wait until Tuesday. Otherwise you'll have the added stress of trying to get to the resort and over to MK in time for the party. Kidani is really beautiful and it would give you some time to explore.

Regarding ME - the actual bus ride is anywhere from 30-45 minutes. But you have to checkin at ME and then they put you on a line for your resort. If you hit it just right, you won't have to wait very long but sometimes you have to wait a bit before you actually get onto a bus.

I searched the regular cruise board and found an entire thread about the subject. HERE Apparently the WBTA is having the same issues

Bottom line (without calling DCL personally); if you paid with DVC points, DVC is giving the surcharge back. But, if you paid cash DCL is NOT giving the surcharge back

Leaving a sour taste, but guess that's the way it's going across the board.

We will have a wonderful cruise no matter what . . .

I do not intend on bringing any formal wear as you can rent a suit or even a tux that will be in your stateroom when you arrive.

I agree with Kathy - wait until another day to go to MNSSHP. The timing of ME depends on a lot of things: how long you have to wait to board a bus (still faster than getting luggage, etc), how many different resorts that bus is going to & the order in which it drops off. My guess is that Kidani might be last. By the time you get checked in etc you might not be anxous to head out for MK right away! Just my 2 cents!!

Also saw a note in the vacation summary section under special notes that the fuel supplement has been added as an on board credit. So everyone who was concerned should see it mentioned there.

I'm with the others. Should nto take mroe than an hour from landing, but if your plane is dealyed or you just miss the nbus to your restoert and need to wait fro anogther one.... No need to stress about it.

That seems wrong. They set point costs so far in advance though that maybe they charged us even more than others? Amazing that they are basically giving us cash for points, though.

I hope they get theirs tomorrow. I am counting down the days!!. I have decided to bring a dress and heels but I know Tommy will wear dockers and a nice shirt.

Fine. Alisha's shower is next weekend and we are doing the food so Mom has been busy making the menu and starting to bake. We have something every weekend until the cruise which will make it go by fast. Did you hear anything from the interview you went on? No I haven't heard back, which is ok. I have never seen a CEO so unorganized and scatterbrained. It looked like way too much clean up.

We are cruising on points as well and our reservation online does indicate that we will have a credit on board as result of the refund.....could not find out how much that is though. Hopefully enough for a couple of Konk Koolers!
