Oct. 16-23, 2010 - Bring Back the Magic

Gee, I was expecting more doc dances today ;)

I'm getting my nails done after work tonight, so I won't know for awhile :rolleyes1

B/T/W - Who's planning to get dressed up for formal night???

DOING THE DOC DANCE HERE!!!!party:

Got ours today!!!! So here is hoping that the rest of you get yours today too!

No, Patrick has a girlfriend. She has two more years at FSU. She was here also this week end. She is a nice girl. We like her. She wants to go to law school after FSU so it will be a while.....

How was your quiet week end?

It was fine. I read all weekend. I did make some brownies so I know my oven works. I was not to sure because it has been a while since I have even opened the door. :lmao: Tommy was at the football field so we did not do anything together. I was bummed but the school made a lot of money for athletics. They rented the field to a little league for a tournament. I did get the suit cases out and they are ready to be filled. :yay:

Tommy will not. The first year he did not know better but now he refuses to dress up. :guilty: I am debating on taking a nice dress and shoes but it depends on how much space I have.

Our mail doesn't usually get here until around 4pm (I work from home) so I'll check it then.

As for formal night, we usually do dress up. It's one of the few chances we have to get decent photos as a family ;)

Hi all -- Congrats to those that have received their documents. I hope I will be doing the doc dance  when I get home.

What about the FE list? I haven't heard anything since August. Is there still a group that is participating? Do we have a list? I want to do my gift bags this weekend (doing Disney stuff helps the time go by faster)!

Great! I loved to get dressed up on formal night!

Yes! :goodvibes
We have our FE list and the information is on Page 1. I will PM you with the password to the website.

See the link in post 1 and email for the password. I've got the list printed out and 21 families (including mine) are participating.

Congratulations to all you recent doc dancers out there! :cool1:  :yay:

I am taking a long black dress, but it is not very fancy, quite simple rather. (Anyway, for me that's already plenty dressing up, I'm usually a t-shirt and sweater kind of girl! :rotfl2:)
I'll take my wedding shoes to go with that, they are immensely comfy (of course they were white for the wedding, but I had them dyed black since).

Will probably wear the same outfit again to Palo, or else I am taking a long black skirt (a t-shirt kind of fabric) and will wear some nice shirt with it. Please tell me I really don't need a third nice outfit for semi-formal night :rolleyes1

I talked to DH about renting a tuxedo but he doesn't like the idea, so he will bring one of the dark suits he wears at work, and a tie. He looks to-die-for in a business suit so I'm not complaining :lovestruc

I've recently been searching for one of those famed over-the-door shoe holders that everyone recommends bringing ... And I can't for the life of me find them anywhere! Not in supermarkets, not in drugstores, not in our big department store ... I refuse to believe that these things are not sold in Germany! :confused3

Maybe I should go to IKEA? But then I always end up buying tons of stuff there that I don't really need, so it's always dangerous going there ;)

:rotfl: at the Ikea comment.

I'm sure they're around, but have zero advice for finding them in Germany.

There is another family to be added to the FE list. As of right now, there should be 22 families on the list.

Check the link on pg 1 for updates.

You can always hit Walmart when you get here to find one or I will be glad to pick one up for you if you are not picky what color. :flower3:
