Happy100 family & mine are booked here! We cannot wait for a nice, quiet beach day! :cool1:

HOORAY!
I wonder if it'd be cheaper to go in together and rent a van instead of a taxi to get there? But then maybe people have different plans, goals, etc and don't want to be stuck there. ;)

We are happy to have you sailing with us! Glad you found the newest thread :thumbsup2
I will add you to the roll call on page 1 :goodvibes

We have booked a Rays, Reef, and Rum Point Excursion with Nativeways in Grand Cayman. My neighbors did this and said it was GREAT! I have two scaredy cats that may or may not get out in the water. Guess we will find out!

Anybody else ever been to Stingray City?

Im going to take a stab and say that you came in from I4 onto the 536 entrance, coming from the Sea World area.
The weather was nice for Blizzard Beach, until 230 yesterday. We got rained on in Winter Haven where I work.We just moved into a new station and are still busy putting things away and finding homes for stuff.Everytime we tried to hang a hose hanger, and clean out 1 particular corner, it would rain sideways, wed have to close the bay door, and quit for a while. Then by the time that we got ready to go again, it would rain.

We came into WDW from I-192 up to World Dr. The weather was very nice in the morning for a water park day. You are exactly correct on the rain. We saw the clouds at 2pm and started to leave at that point. We just made it to prime outlet mall and the heavens let loose. We were stuck in the car for 20 minutes as sheets of water came down. Today was nicer for you to find new homes for your stuff. It was a little hot over at MK. I was surprised it was not very crowded. I guess the economy is still affecting WDW. I think Americans were outnumbered by the Brasilians. I better brush up on my Spanish/Portuguese. Back to the real world tomorrow. :sad1::sad1:

ok - i've booked excursions outside of DCL because i save a significant amount due to DCL charging adult fare for 10 years old & up

atlantis submarine in Cozumel & caymen in a nutshell in Grand Cayman

has any1 else taken either of these tours?

is any1 signed up for either of them for this cruise?

I'm Kathy sailing with my brother Frank. We are doing jeeps :drive: in Cozumel and Seven Mile Beach :beach: in Cayman.

We are also doing WWoHP and IoA on the Monday after we get back from the cruise. We thought a weekday might be less crowded.

The Caymen in a nutshell looks interesting, though it says it leaves at 8:30? Is that enough time to get off the boat, etc?

The beach vacationers are back home and back to a computer! Boy, what a lot of postings to catch up on.

yeah - i couldnt get an extra day off work so we're doing US/IoA/WWoHP as SOON as we get off the cruise & then fly back to TN Sunday! Monday is going to be a ROUGH day 4 me!

we're actually taking the 1/2 shell tour - did the stingrays & snorkeling last time & not interested in that again & then adding in the lunch @ 7 mile beach - when i emailed them about the times this is what they stated:

"The tour will be from 9-11 AM, and you will have a little over an hour for the lunch stop."

the current Disney itinerary states 7:30a - 4:30p

you don't think the 1 1/2 hours will be enough time to get from port to their ofcs?

Welcome NavyDotz!

I am from middle TN. You may not be too far from me.

Auburntown is about 50 miles southeast of Nashville. We are on the other side of Murfreesboro. Pretty close to you!

I've never done it myself (this is my first cruise) but reading online, I've read where it can take a few hours to get off the boat, since Disney Excursions get to get off the boat first. But I don't know how accurate those reports are....

50/50 chance of getting it right. The 2 exits look really close feature wise.

Since I only work every third day,Ill have to wait till I go back to work on thurs (Kelly days are great) to put some more stuff up. We ran a call about 130 and we could see it getting dark, and the wind picked up considerably.By the time we got to the call, it started to rain and it was really windy and rainy as we got back in the station.

I think your right, that Disney is feeling the pinch from the economy. Its been busy but not overly so.I was surprised 2 weeks ago at the lack of tour groups there, and also the lack of tour groups in the mall also.

Good Luck! pixiedust:

Great, thank you Kathy! I just feel much better knowing beforehand what I have to do when booking online, instead of figuring it out as I go along and wasting precious minutes. I know, I'm pathetic, aren't I? :sad2: I'm only ever truly happy when I've got absolutely everything under control, and that makes it rather hard to relax. I mean, I don't even know my dining rotation beforehand, how can I maintain control under these conditions? :confused3 Gee, I am starting to think I have serious issues here :rotfl2:

But seriously, now: I am sure everything will be fine, if it is not Tulum it will be some other ruins (let's just not mention that to DH, then ;)), and somehow or other I will be able to book either brunch or dinner at Palo. If nothing works online, I am sure one of you will be so nice to point me in the right direction to Palo on embarkation day, won't you? :flower3:

:cool1: Friday again
We have . . .

FRIDAY's until we sail :boat:

Couple more weeks and we will be doing the  single digit dance :dancer:

Hope everyone is enjoying summer and have fun plans for the weekend! :goodvibes

Thanks for the update, Deb! Wow, it really doesn't sound that much now that it is down to (if not yet single digits) at least a monosyllabic number ;)
