Did you guys see this? I haven't read it all, but I am not happy if it's true we are going to pay for Alaska with points!! That's the main reason we bought in was to cruise.

Wow!! I just read through several of the pages. There seem to be different takes on the whole thing but the common theme seems to be that there have always been only a certain number of rooms allotted for DVC points use. It's because of the new ships & new itineraries that it's becoming a problem. It does sound though like those of us who are booked with cash will not be able to switch to points for Alaska. I guess I won't worry about it until the final payment for that is due, then we'll have to decide.

That sounds like a good idea! Do you buy them resale or can you still get them from Disney? I do love staying at other places! My sister really enjoyed AKV when we stayed there! I am anxious to go to Aulani! I'm sure it will be a while before we can get ressies! lol

Sorry for the late response! Went out of town & couldn't get online. We have bought all of our additional points resale. They are much less expensive and that's the way to get your same home resort after DVC has sold out of it.

I have emailed DVC for clarification. People are not going to be very happy if this is the case. That is one reason we added points.

Infant innoculations. DS is 4 mo. so he got 3 shots They give him a fever and fussiness for a couple of days.

Oh and the garage sale went pretty well for me.. not so much for DMIL. But, we are opening the garage today while we work outside hoping to sell her big stuff!

Aulani is opening August 29th, 2011. Frank & I have been talking about Sept or Oct 2012. I think Mary & Mark were also talking about that timeframe and I know that Mimi and Mack were interested as well.
