Called the cruise lines this afternoon after receiving our confermation which was origanly under gurantee for a cabin. I asked them what the avalibity was for a Cat 10 deck 7 inside deluxe and to our surprise we got what we wanted. we have 7509 aft thats fine with us.

Dan

:woohoo: Good for you, now you know where you will be staying! I will add your room # to the roll call.

Hey Dan! We are in 7505 and 7507! We have never had these rooms before so this should be interesting for us! Have you had these rooms before? What has been your experience with them?

We haven't had that particular room but we were aft inside on our 10/24/09 cruise. It was fine - we don't care about a view and it was near the elevators/stairs so it was very handy to everything. WE took the stairs most of the time to get the exercise!

Adding to what my wife said we like deck 7 because being by the elevator you can get to the pool and Topsiders real quick.
I was surprised when I called Friday after getting our confirmation which was origanlly on a gurantee . When we called to book last month there were no Cat 10 inside Deluxe on deck #7 so it was a big surprise when i called with a request Fri and got what we wanted. We had a great time on the Eastern last month. We are also booked for Alaska in Aug of 2011.

That's great that the bosses have ok'd your trip!

The airline we use only allows one bag per person checked and they have done that for a while now. But we usually just go for a week so it isn't a problem. The October trip will be a little over two weeks but we are driving so I can take more

Yes, it is always so much easier when you are driving to your destination instead of flying ... We do that a lot, though obviously not to the States as our car hasn't yet quite learned to swim :confused3;).

We will book the flight next week probably, just waiting for our post-cruise WDW booking to be finalized and then so much will have fallen into place, we are so happy!

Orig. we were booked for the Oct. 30 sailing...due to a conflict in scheduling, we changed to the Oct. 16 sailing and even upgrade from cat. 11 to cat. 9...YEAH!!!

We are celebrating the empty nest!!! Both of our children will be in college then and now it is time for mom and dad to play!!!

So first Disney cruise then 3 nights at DW POR during Food and Wine Festival.

We are in cabin 2106 with late dinner.
DH and myself.

Heres another thought, though I cant swear this would be the case. Check a few other places that sell cruises. Sometimes, Disney may only have 1 room left, but TA, A might. I dont know too much about it, but I think and I could be wrong, in that Disney sells/assigns/gives a certain number of rooms of each category to different TAs. So, even though Disney may be out, someone else may not. You can transfer to DU,DCL or any of the other alphabet soup agencies out there when your ready.

A little update: I have been a little quiet other the last few days, been lurking really. I have been trying to get the $$$ saved to make sure I can get on one of the two Oct cruises. This time of the year is unforgiving to a Fedex driver as one could imagine, but it does mean that there is money to be earned!! So I have been working through a vacation in the hopes that we can still get it all in time. I have chilled out from worrying about the room issue. If I wanted the eastern cruise it may be a little different. I m hoping now by Christmas to have the money down! That being said I have become attached to this board, even though the wife is thinking more along the lines of the 10/30. Who am I to argue with her? lol

It's been quiet here lately pirate:
Well, another week has passed and that means we now have . . .

:thumbsup2 Thank's for the update.
Good luck with your decisions :goodvibes

I have an update as well: We have just booked our pre-cruise accommodation, so everything is starting to take shape.

We will be staying at the Radisson Resort at the Port (like 50% of all cruisers, I think? But it looked really nice on their webpage and the available reviews are mostly good, too).

As we will be flying in from Europe on October 14th, we will have two nights at the Radisson. Does anybody else already happen to know that they are staying there? Then we could all meet up for a pre-cruise drink at the bar or whatever!

Have a great weekend everybody (btw once again thank you Deb for the countdown, I just love it and look forward to it every Friday!),

HI ALL

Nancy and I stayed at the Raddison in Oct before we cruised . We were very pleased the rooms were great along with the service.
The morning of the Cruise they suttled us over to Port with our luggage around 9:30 AM so needless we were some of the first ones onboard. We had a group of about 30 of us staying there. We were all on the Eastern Cruise. We were known as the BOB Cruise.
Everybody have a great weekend

WOW! It's nice to get things lined out. :woohoo:
Not sure where we are going to stay pre cruise yet. A lot will depend on when we arrive in Orlando and where the rest of the people we are traveling with are staying. October dates for flights are starting to come out, so we hope to know soon.
