Have any of you sent your children to the clubs they have and if so could you answer a couple of questions for me.

1) I was wondering because my son's best buddy that we are travelling with will be 7 at the time of sailing and my son will be 8 can we either bump his friend up to the 8 year old group or put my son down in the 7 year old group?

2) If we bump my son down is there enough in the younger room to keep an 8 year old entertained or will he get bored?

Thanks in advance. If you have any other info you think might help with our deciding what to do I would appreciate hearing it.

My youngest son was 4 and my oldest 6 when we last cruised and they often had both groups doing things together in the same club....LOTS to do and alot of children to play with! The CM told me that there would be no problem to have both of my boys together in the same club when they wanted to be together :thumbsup2

Ok I originaly was going to PM everyone the password for the website but after seeing the size of the list  it would take me too long to do it that way, SO if you would all kindly send me a PM and I will respond with the password :flower3:
please keep in mind that there will be private info on there so please do not share the password to anyone other than the people on this cruise.

Here is the website addy

I've tried over and over to log onto the new site and it keeps saying password incorrect. Anyone else having problems?

The only problem for me is our two boys would be in different clubs because of the age. I think we will just try to bump his friend up to the older group.

Wow! Thanks for doing this! It is great to have a central place for this info (lol I know we have post 1 too!) We had a website for our last cruise too and it is a very useful tool to have!

Jen is it ok if I put up your design on the website for the Tag game?

Of course! :thumbsup2

:scared1: Hi All,
I may only have 2 post's but it does show that I'm alive and well.. (3 now)

we also have our door sign ready and name tags.. andddd we are quite ready for Pirate night..

John, I like your sign and pics! I know you guys will have a wonderful cruise!

What program do you guys use to make the disney items like magnets, posters etc I love that they have Mickey ears but I have no idea where to start.

IT must be paint shop pro

Never used paint shop net

Now i gotta see what that is

I use Photoshop Elements. It costs around $75 but I personally found it well worth it because it has a great interface and is so, so easy to use.

I think Lynn means Microsoft Paint which comes standard on Windows PC's.

Paint Shop Pro is a great program but I have never used it, just heard it is on the level of Photoshop CS. Might be difficult to start using as en entry level user.

Paint.net I have used and I didn't get into it. It crashed a lot for me, too- although I might have had a bad version or done something wrong on install.

Gimp is another alternative, it is free and there are those that swear by it (that is just as good as Photoshop). I've used it and I found it pretty hard to navigate but it did seem fairly equivalent to my old version of (full) Photoshop (I had 7.0 before I ditched it for Elements).

A lot of people just use MS Word. No bells and whistles but it does get the job done.

I hope that helps you! :goodvibes

Yes you will be able to bump up, not sure about down. My granddaughter was 7 and Amber (booinaz) bumped her up to be with her sister. I believe you just need to talked to the CM when you get there.
Amber, correct me if I'm wrong.

We have actually inquired about this b/c Brendan and Savannah are only 16 months apart and last time they were split, B was in the Lab and S was in the Club.

No they will not (usually) bump a child UP to the OLDER group unless their birthday is in the immediate future (ie within a few weeks) They will let you put the OLDER CHILD down into the YOUNGER group. They are really strict about the bumping up, at least they were in our case but we didn't push it, we jsut asked casually. ALTHOUGH- like Randy/Candy stated they did do that for them. So definitely ask, it may just depend on the CM. :thumbsup2

It was kindof a pain in the butt last time, havign to run around to all these different places to pick up and drop off...(we chose not to drop Brendan down to the club). One thing we did determine, however is that a whole lot of the activities in the two groups are exactly the same- just held at different times. For instance one day the club would be making the choc chip cookies, one day the lab. same with Flubber, they both do it m just at different times. This was the pattern with most (if not all) the activities. I did find that they tend to age-appropriate the character experiences (ie. the older ones would have Goofys PJ Party while the younger ones would have Snow Whte or Peter Pan come in)...so that may be some food for thought for you.

Take a look at Navigators posted online as the cruise gets closer and see how they structure the activities to help you make your decision. Here is an example of how the activities for the clubs and lab were set up on our cruise:

^ Sorry that is really hard to read.

7.0:thumbsup2

Sometimes you can find really good deals on ebay (you have to shop carefully to make sure it is a legitimate copy)...and Amazon often discounts older versions..

For example right now 7.0 is $67.99 (on Amazon)
6.0 is (from) $63.00
5.0 from $49.99

Thanks, I checked out amazon and they have a great deal on the 7.0 They also offer a rebate but I don't have an older version to send in a photocopy of the cover of the manual.

My DD was 4 months from turning 8. I had to register her in the club(5-7yrs.)originally, then onboard in the lab I asked one of the counselors about it. My daughter was so happy in the lab with her sister. I did have another daughter in the club(5 yrs. at the time). I think it does depend on which counselor you approach, some are stricter than others. On this next cruise I will try to do the same thing with my dd who will be 7 1/2. I will hopefully have all 3 of mine in the lab together. They will be 10 , 9, & 7 1/2. I hope this makes sense and helps.

I don't think this was meant to be a suggestion for our group name

8. If you like Walt Disney quotes:

I think he was just saying if you like Walt Disney quotes the following (don't remember exactly what they where) are some ideas:)
