No, no I'm not offended by it! Not at all! I think its great for you guys who were on PPiP1! In fact I'm just jealous that I wasn't there on #1! LOL!!!!!

No, I think what I was trying to say didn't really come out right...I don't dislike that name (it just doesn't apply to everyone)... I was more trying to show that it's Ok to have more than one name for a cruise! But I do think we can vote on a name that we are all satisfied with to be our main thread name and for the logo, etc. I'm sure it will work out fine!

I was looking at some of the other cruise meet thread names. I think Bring Back the Magic sounds pretty good compared to "Key Lime Pie-rates", "Buschwacker Banditos", "Captain Jack's repositioning", "Bananaheads", "B.O.B", "Wonder, Waves and Wishes"

So my vote is still "Bring Back the Magic"

I know this all seems a little silly to be so passionate about the title of a cruise meet thread. So when it comes down to it it can be called whatever ones heart desires. Whether you want it to represent something in your life, a special feeling you get or simply state where we are going. A meet thread's title will never be everything to everyone... Generally when I walk into a situation the name is what it is. I know it can be hard to embrace someone else's opinion when you didn't get a chance to put in your $.02 worth. I never embraced the name of our last cruise thread, but when others already took ownership in the name and seemed to take pride in it, it wasn't in me to rain their parade. It was just the name of the thread and in our scrap books we'll make mention to it, but we have our own name to that chapter of our lives.

Yes, "Bring Back the Magic" is a Jimmy Buffett song. I do get a little joy that comes over me when it comes on my ipod because it nows represents the forthcoming event in which I am most excited about. But to me it's not about the name of the song. It is about that feeling I get when I get to the top of that bridge and finally see the ship after waiting for so long. That feeling of goosebumps when they introduce our family on the boat. And most importantly, knowing that I was able to provide that magic to my family.

Call it what you will. We all know what boat we'll be on, we all know where we are going and we know all know what dates we'll be going. We can all refer to this chapter of our lives with our own splendid title.

Had to say hello! We sailed with Dizzi in 2007. She was a big part of that cruise, but I just saw post #1 here. WOW! We sail the Magic on the 10/23/10 Eastern, and will be sure to keep an eye out for holdovers.

The naming of the cruise was a suggestion from Nenner1 on page 2, post 21 click HERE to read the post in its entirety.



Everyone at the time liked the name, so it stuck . . .. so far!

I am open to the idea of a vote and/or other suggestions if everyone wants . . .just thought I'd throw out there the "origins" of the current name.

Congrats on 2500 post i will add it to your list of 100 count post!!!


And Even though i am not a PArrot head and not a big Jimmy Buffet Fan, i really ddi like the words to the song and it is coming back from dry dock and EUROPE if i am not mistaken...........

I still like the "Bring Back the Magic" theme. As seen in my signature, I've already embrased that phrase! But . . .am not going to stand in the way if others want to change the name . . .
But my vote is for the original . . .

I personally love the name Bring Back the Magic! I know everyone wasn't around when the first few of us agreed on the name. If you go back and read some of the first few pages of this thread you can get an idea of the the reasoning behind the name. I especially thought that Parrotheads would enjoy the name and be behind it considering that "Bring Back the Magic" is a great Jimmy Buffett song (see post number 39). Not only that but it also references the fact that the Magic is being returned from, yes drydock, but also a summer in Europe. She'll be back were she belongs. So even if you are not a Parrothead (Jimmy Buffett fanatic for those not in the know ) this name works.

I'd be sad to see the name change! My vote is to keep the name.

Honestly, i could give a PArrot Feather......for lack of a better term...as to what the cruise is named.......

When i started the htread i just called it the dates cause i couldnt think of anything clever........

But i could be a swing vote and i can be bought!!!!!!!!!
