I wish Gary cleaned house. His idea of cleaning the kitchen for example is if it fits in the dishwasher great if not I'll leave it for Angie

As for going out coupon shopping already done that today.

Now I have to research a camera (mine died the other day so I need a new one) and finish unpacking the boxes. I'm almost done but its like being on a diet where the last ten pounds are the hardest to shed, it seems like the last 10 boxes are the hardest to get to

Per the mods. suggestion I started a new thread......

Well i am not moving so i guess there will be 2 thread for this cruise.

Which is unfortunate.

I think They should have at least given me the chance to start a new thread.

But its all good, we are actually considering at this point changing our cruise....The boards and doing things together are very important to me and i still have a year plus to go so i still have plenty of time to get to know others on a different meet thread..........

I am going to look now at what is available.......

May go on DDs b day so she will be in stack for sure.

Just tomake things clear and then if i stay on this cruise it canbe water under the bridge. I PMed Lisa (MOD) to help me get the poll taken off,idontknow if any one else did or not.

And since it was only a suggesstion,iwill stay put for now untilwemake our decision weather we stay here or go to a different cruise entirley.

Maybe a MED cruise..........That would be awesome!!!!!!!

Don't change your cruise. I think we can all put this behind us and still have a great time together. Or at least thats what I plan to do.

I went over to see her thread and she literally copied my whole first post, without even a simple askingif she could.......WOW.

Just a friendly, respectful aside...

The last DIS cruise I took - the Aug 2008 Panama Canal REPO - at that time it stood with the record with the all time HIGHEST number of repeat Castaway Club members. As such - the DIS Cruise meet thread was a WILD BEAST of an Animal. Before the system administrators enacted the general thread length limit the boards were definately slower to refresh. And I think we had an initial (original 1st) thread with some rediculous number of pages... something like 1000 or so. I had the 10th or 7th highest posting count on that one ... and then wham! All long threads were shut down in the interest of making the DIS community better - and FASTER for all. So we had DOZENS of threads for our cruise meet - withthe initial one having something in excesds of 100,000 postings I think and many 1000s of pages ... and we did "SPRINTS" to the 1000th posting as opposed to 100th (too many flying by ... and I mean FLYING by in the flurry of postings). NOW THAT was psychotic in community intensity ... dozens of postings in a few MINUTES almost all the time! Great fun..... great neighbors... great friends made there... (sigh)...

As I recall - a Moderator would come in and close the old thread - or someone would reopen the next "chapter" of the same thread. It was routine to copy most or all of the previous chapters' first page for the convenience of all. I think sometimes a moderator would start it - but really more often it was someone AT RANDOM who seemed to start the next initial posting for the next chapter.

May I offer gentle encouragement to relax a bit and not take things as if they were pointed indisgresions. I mean this respectfully... and I shared these thoughts publicly as a means of calming everyone who might be interested.

The idea of a 2nd thread is dictated by thread length - and not the name thing. WHich I am totally new to = since I am just joining/visiting this community.

I am well aware of all the information you have provided. And thankyou for taking your time out to in your way try to smooth things over.

But we both know that the new thread was not started because this thread was nearing an end it was started in haste becasue of a suggestion by a moderator that I initiated conversation with.

I am not new to the boards and i do understand how things work when everyone is getting along.
