Ok I have just finished reading all of the threads finally! A few things to add:

Have to add my favorite Jimmy Buffett tunes:
1) One Particular Harbor
2) Life is Just a Tire Swing
3) Hula Girl at Heart
Going to the Buffett concert this Saturday at Great Woods - woo hoo!!
We have been members of the local Parrothead Club for about the past 7 years now or thereabouts.

Finz up!

Good songs!:goodvibes Saturday at Great Woods, lucky!!!!:cool1: We've traveled all the way from here in Tampa just to see Bubba at Great Woods. Also did that see see him play at Fenway. We saw him for this tour already in Tampa and he is supposed to be coming to Orlando in November.:)

Just signed up for the fish extender exchange and hope with do the other one as well (Secret Mickey - is that what it's called?) Just need to either buy or attempt to make my fe now.
I'll probably be more active on the board now that I'm caught up!

Finz up!

I hope we get a few more people to do the Secret Mickey gift exchange. That was fun on our last cruise! :goodvibes

Hey dizzi (and of course also everybody else), how's it going?

I have now finished reading the whole 2009 Passporter and I have already kind of figured out which excursions I would like to book (even though I am sure that I'm gonna change my mind again about ten times in the 69 weeks until we sail):

- the Seaworld Explorer Submarine in Grand Cayman, (I can't really snorkel as I don't really see anything without my glasses and I haven't got contact lenses, so I would love to see some of the marine life without having to snorkel - and it got such a positive review in the Passporter, same as Tulum, by the way)

- nothing in Key West (we haven't been there before and are really looking forward to exploring on our own, probably taking the Conch Train or somesuch and getting off a few times to explore on the way and go for a walk)

- the Extreme Getaway Package in Castaway Cay (I would love to see the stingrays and ride a bike, I don't mind if I don't use the snorkelling equipment, but DH can still use it if he feels like it, and the float also sounds nice - I think the kayaking and walking excursion also sounds great, but since this will be our first time on CC, I suspect that it might be too much).

What do you think, can anybody recommend any of these excursions or give some advice? I know, there is still lots of time, just want to get some early opinions :)

Have a good night everyone (almost midnight here),

Annichan

You know what is funny? When I was about 3 years old (A VERY, VERY long time ago!) my parents purchased for me a high quality diver's mask. Through the years I became extremely near sighted, to the point of ot being able to see my hand clearly an inch away from my face. No matter how bad it got, I could put the mask on, and see perfectly clearly under water! I still have that mask, and I finally got lasik surgery. I'm nearly 39 years old and that mask is still in perfect condition, though I am not sure exactly where it is right this second. I don't know why it works like that, but it does. Maybe a dive shop guru could help. :hippie:

Hey dizzi (and of course also everybody else), how's it going?
I am still busy reading up on other people's cruise trip reports, now that I have finished nenner1's. I want to write one too, it must be such fun! (I admit it would be easier writing it in German though, I wouldn't be at such a loss for the right words :)).

- the Tulum Ruins excursion in Cozumel, (we are really interested in that, never mind the long long ride on the bus, but we have never been to Mexico and who knows if we'll ever get another opportunity to go there)

- the Seaworld Explorer Submarine in Grand Cayman, (I can't really snorkel as I don't really see anything without my glasses and I haven't got contact lenses, so I would love to see some of the marine life without having to snorkel - and it got such a positive review in the Passporter, same as Tulum, by the way)

hey there!!!

my oldest son and I did the stingrays last october and I was really pleased with it!! My son really loved having all those stingrays around us and feeding them!! it was really well done and not crowded at all!! we were the first tour of the day (10am I think it was) and the water was very clear!!
hope this helped :)

We don't know what we are going to do. Although, playing/swimming with the dolphins is a must do. Just not sure if we will do it in GC or Coz.

Randy

Hey Randy!!!! we were going to do the dolphins in Cozumel, but after reading some pretty disgusting things on "how" they got those dolphins we decided to find somewhere else to spend our money for the dolphin excursion. I wont go into details here on what I read, but it's really bad!!! :sad2:
I'm still looking around, because we really want to do this as well...

i sure will....I know Key west has the excursions but they are for wild dolphins and you don't get to go in the water with them, just a boat ride and watch them from the small boat. I'm very disapointed about cozumel...we were going to do this one for sure until I read about the aweful things they did...so my only option is grand cayman, and I'm still looking around for that!

We were there for Fenway as well although our seats were horrible - we were on the field and couldn't see a thing - the person in front of me had his son on his shoulders the whole night. :sad2:
We also saw him at Gillette but you can't beat Great Woods - and of course the parking lot there is the best!
I would love to be able to see him in Florida. He's coming to Mohegan in November so we may go see him there.

We were sitting 2 or three rows above the 3 base dugout. That was pretty good.

You're right Great Woods tailgating for Buffett is outstanding.:cool1: But I'll tell you what, ever since we got our own amphitheatre here in Tampa our tailgate parties give any other city a run for their money.:goodvibes I don't think half of the people even go into the show. They are just there for the party.

FRIDAY's until we sail away :boat:

Getting closer every week! :rotfl:

Yeehaw, another week down, I wish it wasn't so many still to go! :rotfl:

But I am more than happy today - we finally picked up our new car, the one we bought ten days ago! He's so pretty, love him already :lovestruc

I was a little sad when we had to leave our old car sitting in the dealership's parking lot (he was part of our payment for the new one) because I didn't want to let him go, he's the one that drove us to our wedding last year! :bride:

But as soon as we had left the premises, I was all smiles and happiness about the chic new car. And now that that's paid, let's start saving in earnest for our Disney cruise!

Hello everyone!

We just booked today.

It will be me (Denine), DH (Jerry) and DD (Kaleigh)
DD will be ***gulp*** 8 at the time of the cruise and we will be celebrating 19 years of marriage.

This will be DCl cruise #11 for us. We couldn't take one this year, darned economy.

Okay...
Looking back in previous post, trying to see what i have lacked on putting on the first page...

I came across the post from NENNER that had the pictures of the SVR and SPH rooms

I dont know if i totally understood what the SPH rooms were, or if i did understand at one time i forgot.

Are the SPHRs a verandah with a wall, just to complete the "look" of the ship.

How many people do they sleep?
Are they much less than the SVRs?
