Oct. 15, 2006 (4 nights on the "New" Wonder)

Sue,

I just looked back and saw I never answered your question. Tyler is staying in Guam until Nov/Dec of this year. He extended his stay in hopes of getting the Radiology school he wants next. It was not available in May and if He started a new tour of duty somewhere else he would not be elligable to try again for two more years.

I was just saying to Wayne this morning, how I miss "talking to you all.

Sadly Elouises teeth has been damaged at the nerve and has gone grey! ( I am really sad about this), but shes not bothered. I have a dentist appointment next week, for the dentist to have a look at it. People at work say they wont do anything, cos its a milk tooth, but I still want to see. Call me vain, but IF I can have it whitened, I will.:)

Elouise has started Kick boxig now, will post a picture of her in her "Tae kwon do " suit soon................. very funny to watch, but good for her confidence ( not that she needs any more) and great for teaching her about strangers, and how to react if they try and grab you. My ears are deaf, from the " Stranger stand back" she keeps yelling!!!!

I am busy taking photos tonight, as E bay has a 10p listing day tomorrow and I need to clear out her wardrobe and get some money!! Her kick boxing suit was £35!!!!!! good thing Santa's rich!:rotfl:

Take care all........................... xxxxx

Hello! I miss talking to everyone too!

Jane, thanks for explaining about Tyler. I think the radiology training is a good idea. I am glad he knows what he wants to do. Alie emailed me and I was so happy to hear from her! Such a sweetie.princess:

Jules, I watched a television show about North Wales this weekend. I know you live in South Wales but I figured it has some similarities. Very pretty. I didn't realize how many castles are there. I was excited to see a street with lots of Welsh flags with the dragon that I recognized.

Linda, We look forward to pictured of Ellie in her new uniform. That sounds so cute her yelling "Stand back stranger!":rotfl:

Kelly, Hi! Hope things are well with you and Jake!:wave2:

Very cold here but things are pretty good other than that. We had sleet and freezing rain last weekend.:upsidedow

Hi everyone. Sorry it's been so long since I've been on.

I feel like i'm finally starting to get back to my old self after the sadness of December and all the changes going on in my life that I've had to get used to in the past few months.

Jacob and I enjoyed a small trip to the indoor waterpark resort a little north from here and had a great time and plan to return again.

Our plans have changed as far as our cruise we booked for this coming October. We are going to change the dates to next year for now.

My brother is getting married in Jamaica next January and we wouldn't miss it but we just can't afford 2 big vacations within one year while trying to save for a house or possibly buy one by then. So we're going to do a couple small trips up to that resort we were just at to have some fun until next year.

I am excited about the Jamaica trip though as it will be so incredible to go with some of my family (my brothers are much older than me so we never took a family vacation) Unfortunately not all of them will be coming and my parents will not fly but possibly some other family members will come and it will be nice as Jacob and I normally travel alone.

I'm loving the cold weather and snow - finally!

oh I almost forgot, we also finally got our professional wedding pictures back. I think they're great. Here are some of my favorites

Glad you are feeling more your old self now.

Any one heard what the BIG news was today, I was on the count down thing, which counted down to 0, then nothing ????:confused3 I was really confussed to see then others saying there is still 30 mins. guess we will find out soon enough. But I havnet got much done today, as I keep checking in on the DIS!!!

Im on a great table in Oct with 10 other DISSERs, who are all as crazy as me:rotfl2: though setting up this table did make me feel a bit sad, remembering our wonderful table. now listen here, if you change your minds, and want to join us, you still can............... we could have a MASSIVE table !:goodvibes

take care all................... Linda x

Kelly,
Loved the photos, Thanks for sharing. You looked a little nervous in the getting ready shots but radiant in the wedding shots. I loved all the special little touches. The girls in the fairy wings were especially cute. I am sorry that you had to cancel the honeymoon cruise but sounds like you'll have a wonderful vacation in Jamaica. Maybe since your parents wont fly, they could consider a cruise that would take them to Jamaica. Of course your brother may have to select a date that put the ship in port. I will tell Alie to look at your photos when I get home. I know that she will want to see them.

Linda,

You must have posted right as I hit the reply button. I just saw your post.

I don't know anything about BIG news as I spend most of my time on the Cruise Critics board now since my next cruise is on Royal Caribbean. Just made my final payment and we sail in just 86 days. I am so excited as I remember how fast those last 90 days will go.

Glad your having so much fun planning your next cruise. The fact that you are hooking up with DISsers again shows that it must have been a positive experiance the first time. My next cruise is with inlaws so I know that we will have a fun group at our table.

It made my day to see I had an email from the DIS today. Thanks for dropping in. Good to hear from everyone.

Hey Jules, How are you and Ian?:grouphug:

Hi Everyone, great today when I saw that everyone had posted and that we were back on page 1 where we belong.
Kelly the photos are stunning, I must ask what are you and Jake doing when you seem to be pouring something into the long glasses - what is that ? The photos are great and everyone looks so lovely, the little fairy wings are great. Sorry to hear that you won't be cruising this year, but Jamaica with your family is too good to miss, where abouts in Jamaica we went to Ocho Rios.
Not long for you now Jane, you must be so excited, I am sure that you and hubby will have a great time, the time will fly by until you go.
Sue lovely to hear from you, and thanks again for our great postcards.
Linda how are you doing, the big news was a bit of a let down, a Toy Story ride at MGM, well there you go ! At least it is something new at MGM, I think it was getting a bit tired.
Things are good with us, I had a job interview last week, which I think went positively, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that things will happen. Ian is fine. We have had an exciting week, last week I made our reservation for our first stint at the Saratoga 14th to 19th December, we then move to the DoubleTree at Universal for three nights, it is years since we have done the Universal Parks so we are going to spend some time there, also looking forward to Margaritas at CityWalk. We then go back to Saratoga 22nd December to 4th January, I booked our flights on Wednesday so now it all seems real. I have never seen Ian so excited, it has been his dream to go for Christmas, he normally leaves everything to me, but this year, it is like where will we have Christmas dinner, where will we go for New Years Eve. He wants a Christmas tree and everything, so I am humouring him as much as I can.
It is lovely to hear from you all and I hope we can stay in touch. Take Care All xxx

Wow we are chatty today..... .:)

Im jelous Jules that sounds great fun... I bet you will pack a christmas tree in the case, a small one of course.!!!

MJ we are hoping to do the Freedom of the seas in 2008, the rock climbing wall ice rink and surfing looks too good. We have to wait for Elouise to be 6 so she can do all the activities, or she might sulkl alot ! ;)

Mj please do a mini trip report , it would be great to hear what you are up to.

Hi again, thanks everyone for the compliments on the photos. I was very happy with how they turned out. I was a bit nervous until we got them because the day goes so fast and is such a blur that I could barely remember her taking half of them and I worried she didn't get enough lol.

We're going to the Sunset Beach Resort & Spa in Montego Bay for my brother's wedding. It looks very nice and one of his friends just returned from there with rave reviews and gorgeous pictures. I'll be missing Disney a lot by next year I'm sure but one should venture out to other travel destinations...I I guess.....;)

Jules the things we are pooring in the photos is sand. Instead of the usual unity candle that most people do (in the US anyway) we decided to do a sand ceremony, we used a photo frame with multiple panes of glass so we could poor the sand behind a photo of us and display it in our home after the wedding. The ceremony goes something like this... Jacob had black sand, I had white, and we poor them together into one container and just like the grains of sand can never again be seperated neither can our lives/hearts etc.

And it sounds like you and Ian are going to have a blast on Christmas trip to Disney. That would be so fun. Jacob always says we should go for the holidays but that time of year is the busiest for my work. I'd love to do it though.

Jane you're so lucky to have your next trip so close! You'll have to let us know how it compares.

I didn't even know there was to be big news haha. A toy story ride sounds fun.

Did anyone else see the first family to stay in Cinderella's castle. it was on Good Morning America the other day. Lucky ducks. It looks so incredible.

Kelly

I'm all excited...........:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: for my 40th Waynes agreed for us to book the Freedom of the Seas cruise for 2008............ just awaiting the dates to be released in the next month. So ive been on cruise critic getting info. :)

Any one have any info to share, please please let me know.

That should be fantastic Linda, A friend of mine was on the Freedom the same week we were on the Wonder. She said it was fabulous. She was on her honeymoon too. The ports she visited were about the same as the ones I am visiting in April but in reverse. I am going to Labadee, Ocho Rio, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Should be good timing too since Liberty will replace Freedom as the newest ship but Freedom will still be pretty darn new. Will you still be looking at sometime in the Fall?

I hang out on cruise critic all the time. I am usually on the Roll Call board for my sailing (April 22) or the Royal Caribbean International board. I peak in on some others too. If you spot me over there say Hi, I am CaptJaneWay.

Guess you caught the Cruise Bug :snail:

Hi everyone.
I hope your groundhog day is A-OK!

It was nice to read all of your recent posts. I'm happy for Linda and Jane who get to look forward to so much cruising. And Kelley going to Jamaica.

I'm glad that Jules asked the question about Kelley and Jakes wedding picture. I had not heard of combining the sand before. That is very nice and romantic.

Have a wonderful weekend.:flower1: :flower: :flower1: :flower: :flower1:
