Oct. 15, 2006 (4 nights on the "New" Wonder)

Horay Lindas finished work    that deserves a dance, and a haircut that is pampering so more dancing :dance3:

Lime green teeth, I like the way you think Jane, I wonder if there is a cocktail that would give the desired effect - something with creme de menth ???

Ian has decided that he will be wearing a lime green top, we were going through his stuff and he found one that he bought at Nike last year and forgot he had. I will look for something lime green for my hair on Saturday. It is no worries you will know its me, I will be the one with Bahama Breeze running round like a lunatic looking for you all !!

Hey Jules, you wont miss me either, :rotfl2: cos i'll be the loony running the other way, with a cocktail in hand, looking for you guys! :teeth:
( my sense of direction after a few drinks, can be very poor!)

I SHOULD be ironing, but the DIS is soooo addictive. !
The MNSSHP feedback is quite mixed, alot saying its far to crowded, not too chuffed about that one. The 29th was sold out! and heaving. :guilty:

We will be leaving home about 6pm Friday night, to drive to my parents, about 2 1/2 hrs away. ( But only 30 mins from the airport :goodvibes )

We will sleep ( well we wont actually SLEEP, as I now I will be far to excited by then ) at my parents Friday night, then go to the airport for 8am. My dad always drives us to the airport, saves a fortune in parking, especailly for 3 weeks. We even have a clean Landrover on our return  Dad loves cleaning cars :thumbsup2

night night all only 3 sleeps left :cloud9:

bump bump

Linda you must be so excited - I hope we dont knock each other over that will make a cocktail mess and will be an awful waste of alcohol, we will have to lick it up off the deck LOL

Much easier with your dad taking you, that will sae you some money, it has cost us 50 pounds for the farmhouse and the 40 pounds for parking, so that is good money you will be saving.

Belinda the flight is around nine hours

Hope everyone is fighting fit and raring to go xx

I know that I should have paid attention in class, but.....
What is the exchange rate for pound/US dollar?
I though England was using the Euro. Shows how much I pay attention to foreign affairs, huh?

Hi Belinda

We have a very good exchange rate at the moment, the tourist rate is around 1.81 dollars to the pound, one year when we came over we got around 1.60 to the pound, so it is strong at the moment.

We dont have the euro - Ireland use it, but England, Scotland and Wales still the pound

Im all packed and sucked up :lmao: Been using those plastic bags you fill with clothes and then suck the life out of with a hoover!!! :rotfl: saved lots of space, but of course the weight is the same !
hope they have a strong hoover in the villia cos we will need to re suck, on our return! plus with all our "pressies" we buy

Belinda, yes we know we are lucky to have 3 weeks. It seems such a short time when we are there,we were planning on 4, as the flight etc is the same price. But then its hard for Wayne to get time off work, and Elouise out of school for that long. Me, heck, I will jack if I had to, to get a months holiday in florida, but then I guess if I have no job, we wont have any money :)

Kelly how are you feeling? I hope you are feeling relaxed and ready. We are going to be thinking of you, as we travel. Whats the time difference? Florida is 5 hours behind the UK.

Two things Im a bit worried about
First Wayne refuses to wear a tie to dinner, or any where else as a matter of fact. He says its his holiday, and he dosent want to be trussed up! Will this offend any of our table mates??? He is wearing a smart collared shirt.

Secondly, I apologise in advance to all our Disser friends if Elouise is over excited, resulting in "melt down" at some point. This week is her first FULL week at school, fro 8.45 to 3pm, and she is EXHAUSTED!. To then go on a long journey and have lots of new and exciting things, I just know at some point this is cause an "upset". im praying its not on the boat, but please if it is, dont judge me to be a bad parent. Its just I so desperatley want this holiday to be perfect. Im going to not cope well, if it doenst all go to plan.

Phew............Sorry about all that,!!!!

Linda Calm Down, Calm Down, - Ian will certainly not be wearing a tie, for the exact same reasons as Wayne.

I am sure that even if Ellie were to have a major meltdown, the last thing that any of us would do is judge you as a bad parent, we can tell from your posts that you are a fab parent !

Those hoover bags sound like a gret idea

Please calm down and stop worrying xx

Your holiday is going to be perfect -you are nearly there ! - please stop worrying - we cant wait to meet you ....

Linda you sould like me with all your worry!! :)

I'm fine with your fellas not wearing ties as long as you don't think Jake and I are snobs because he is wearing one!

I know we are an hour behind florida...so that would make me 6 hours behind UK? sorry my brain is fried!

today I'm going to the dentist for a cleaning. and my flowers are arriving so I can make my bridesmaids bouquets. plus a million other last minute details.

Oh yeah, sorry I won't be wearing lime green on the first day of cruise, I'm wearing my mickey mouse tropical dress I think. I'll try to get something lime green on me somewhere though.

Belinda, I loved your Yipee Posts  I want to join you

:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc YIPEE! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Linda, I am so excited that you are packed and will soon be on you way to visit ME here in Central Florida. I hope our weather is perfect and your stay is WONDERful. I was reading the news reports about the first family to win the new Drams promotion at WDW and I was thinking wouldn't it be SOOOO cool if our sweet Noakes Family were to win that. (Did I spell your name right?)
That being said I also want to tell you that your vacation will not be perfect but it will be yours and that will be perfect enough. We once had a family trip to one of the local springs and got caught in a HUGE lightning storm. It is the only thing I really remember from the trip but it is an awesome memory. And yes we all know that 4 year olds melt down occassionally. (So do 17 year olds in their own way), but what they bring to the table in wonder and joy makes up for the minor melt downs. I am so looking forward to experiancing this trip through Elouise's eyes and through Alie's as well as through my own.

Soo anxious to meet each one of my new DIS friends :grouphug:

Kelly - we would never think that you are snobs, I think it is down to personal choice, Ian and I think Wayne sounds the same feels choked and restricted in a tie. He intends to wear collared shirts but the only time I can get him in a tie is for a wedding LOL ... I'm not going to stress with him about it cos it is his holiday after all... I bet Jake will look great in his tie ...
Yes Kelly we are five hours behind Florida.

Not long for you now - are you excited

Linda you are worrying far too much! Just figure if your husband prefers not to wear a tie that means that MANY others wont wear them either. No worries! And, all children get tired and have bad moments. We love kids so we are just happy that such a cutie will be at our table!

I am using the plastic bags for packing too. I am using the ones that you roll and the air is pushed out. It may leave the clothes a bit wrinkled. It does give more room in the suitcase. :)

Thanks guys, you really are amazing.
I will stop stressing now, I promise :)

Gosh what am I going to do when we have to get off the ship, I will be so sad. This thread has been so much fun, support and information. Lets pledge to keep it going after the cruise too. Some of them have 1000's of hits, and they are over a year old.

Kelly, thats cool, a Mickey tropical dress...............will you wear bride and groom ears ? Kelly, we would neve think you and Jake are snobs, if it was our honeymoon, we would want to get dressed up too. ( It makes for great photos) im gald we are all so easy going, that will make for some great times :thumbsup2

you are right Linda - it will be sad after the cruise it feels like we are old friends now, I normally have a tear getting off the ship, it will be a hundred times worse this year ..
we will all have to promise to keep in touch. You will have to promise to come to Wales, there are lots of places that we can spend the day out, we could take a trip to Cardiff, and then there are quite a few pubs around us that are family friendly so we could go out for some drinks and dinner with Ellie along with us x

I agree! This thread has been a lot of fun! It feels like we are all very good friends! I think our table will be so fun and enjoyable!

Jules, we will definately be up for that !

You never know, you might just love us soooooooooooo much, you decide to join us for the 7 nighter! Dont think Ive forgotten about nagging you :teeth:

Sue, I so agree, I do think all the Dissers are going to make great mates. Im so excited about our table meeting, cos we have been nattering for sooo long now.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

It will be sad to get off the ship on many levels but then we will really know each other instead of just feeling as though we do because we wll have shared experiances. :sunny:

Anyone want to come on my April 22, 2007 RC cruise? :thumbsup2

You are all so funny - Linda with her 7 nighter and now Jane with the RC I will need to get a second job :rotfl2:

We all seem to be very excited today, and I am glad that Linda has stopped stressing ...

lets all bounce like Belinda

Kelly and Jake hope Saturday is everything you have been hoping for and that you have a great day - Happy Wedding Day - have a good one, we will have a drink to you on the ship I hope.
Everybody else - looking forward to meeting you all and will see you all one week on Sunday, by then Jules will probably be like a lunatic so I hope you will excuse her, Linda you don't need to worry about Ellie, Jules won't have tantrums but she will be manic.
