I was doing a happy dance myself yesterday! I finally called to see if I could get the resort savings code that is out for vacations in October through whenever applied to our reservation. All I had to do was add 1-day tickets to our reservation to make it a magic your way package and he was able to apply it. Soooo we saved $85 off our hotel stay + essentially got 2 1-day tickets for free!

Hi Everyone,
The excitement is building!!
My DD says she is to busy to get excited- school, sports, church, cheering etc. She really needs a vacation, huh?

I'm sure the answer is somewhere in this thread, but there are sooo many post to look through...--- When is Kelly's wedding?

I am disappointed in the NSSHP new hours. I don't understand the point of staying open that extra hour. I sounds like more trouble than it's worth for Disney. Why would anyone want to pay for the tickets if they can just hang around and still see the parade, etc. Do they have to have the wristbands to get on the rides??
We went to both the NNSHP & MVMCP and had such a great time. We literally got off and right back on Space Mountain and Thunder Mt. Railroad. Loved the parades and decorations!!

Does anyone know when we will get our travel pk from Disney?

Tink: Just curious if your daughter will be old enough to attend the teen club activities???...I am trying desperately to find a friend to get my daughter acquainted with before the cruise...My daughter will turn 14 while we are in Florida...I think she would be a little more willing to join the activities if she had a friend to share the excitement with.

Thank You Kelly and JenCel70! I don't know for sure if we will go out but we may go out to eat. I prefer to go during the week anyway so it is not quite as crowded. I will have to wait and see what my DH wants to do.

We have lots of sunshine today. I will try to blow some of it towards New York but it is likely traveling that direction anyway.

My DD is 12, so she is to young to do the Teen stuff. I wish I knew of someone Lindsey's age also. I do think it would be nice to have someone to go with them. That way they don't have to go in by themselves. My DD is not one to walk up to strangers and make conversation. Definately not one of my genes!! I will strike up a conversation with just about anyone.

Tink and Jen Hope your daughters make friends and enjoy the clubs, Im sure they will find mates once on board. I remember being that age ( no jokes about it being ages ago!!! ) Its kind of awquard (sp ?) you are almost an adult but not quite, plus all those hormones whizzing around your body! yikes!!!

does anyone know the weight allowance the cruise has for suitcases and hand luggage please???? We might not get our tickets before we leave, so will have to contact DU to leave them at the pier for us. We were going for one LARGE hard case, that would weigh about 28kgs. but if there is a weight allowance, perhaps 2 smaller cases would be better??? Can we store 2 cases in a cat 11 room ?

I am not usre about the weight allowance - sorry - we always take just one case between us and it seems quite heavy. Although if you decide to take two cases I am sure there would eb room to store them, there is a lot of space in the cabins.

I made my door sign last night, as you all know I had a bit of a wound up mood on, it is nothing specatacular, but I had a go, Ian was pleased with it, but he has no computer skills whatsoever, so he think anything that someone can make on a computer is good LOL ....

I can never get away with just one suitcase. I try to pack as light as I can and still end up with tons. I always take two suitcases and one is a bit smaller and will fit in the larger one for easy storage. You can store them on the floor of the closet or I have heard that you can fit them under the bed but I have not tried that. There is lots of drawers to put stuff. I think the closets are kinda small for 4 peoples stuff.

I wonder if Jane has been effected by the tropical storm Ernesto that is in Florida. MJ- are you doing ok?? Do you need some sunshine? Is the rain causing any damage?

.... Okay now I am caught up.

Well as predicted my office move took me awhile to get back on line.
Then Ernesto came and made me take a day off. Unfortunately they are making us work tomorrow instead which is supposed to be off. I am going to Key West this weekend so now I have to use a vacation day. But at least I am going to Key West for 4 days

Jake and I will have one carry-on suitcase each as well as one large suitcase each. His is even bigger than mine too. I've bought so many clothes recently I bet we're going to be overflowing if I don't weed some out...which will be hard. Hopefully I get the time to get organized. How many shoes is everyone bringing? 6 or 7 pair?

Did everyone read of the new bedding, mattresses, and shampoos the ships will be getting before we sail? Very nice!

Tomorrow I'm off with my mom shopping. She's looking for a dress to wear to the wedding. Hope we can find something we both agree on! And hopefully I don't buy more vacation clothes hahaha.

Well now I must get all my work done ahead of time since I'm skipping out tomorrow. Long night ahead of me

The Penthouse Condo looks fab Jane, you will have to tell us all about it when you get back and post us some piccies.

Linda - Ian says to tell you that he noticed last year that the Porters at the Port were all wearing back and wrist supports, so it should be fine if your suitcase is heavy He was amazed that I had not notice that they were wearing these, I was more amazed of the things he notices !! He also said that we stored our cases in the cupboard where the life jackets live, I had forgotten that too !!

Kelly shoes are my weakness, who knows how many pairs I will take you have to b prepared for all occasions !! I have my crocs for the daytime around the ship (the flipflop type - so not too scary) and two pairs so far for the evening, a balck pair and a sparkly pair so they go with most everything, but will need to take some more just in case !!
I hope your mom has good luck finding a nice outfit ....

Cant believe we sail in a month..Time is just ticking away..Although for us it just isnt fast enough..


kEL- Where did you find the information about the new bedding and shampoo???Is there a spot on line where they post what changes they will make while in drydock??

keeping the luggage in check is a big problem for us also...With four people traveling it can get a bit crazy..I have always had a small piece of luggage for each of us..That no one person (my husband) has to do all the carrying..My youngest gets the smallest so he can manage his own and he really loves how big that makes him feel
