SparKeLLy Wayne loves the X men and will be going to see it for sure, when its out in the UK. He really likes IOA for these characters. To be honest I wasnt sure who there all were! He hopes they drive through by Spiderman on their quad bikes, when we are there.

Sue88 OK dont laugh, as English nursery rhyme are steeped in tradition and often dont make sense. Here goes from what I can rememeber.
"Goosey goosey gander

Upstairs, downstairs in ladies parlour"

sure there is more but cant rememeber it . I did warn you we are "weird" for rhymes.


Do you know the childrens rhyme " Ring a Ring a roses?" its a lovely, happy sounding rhyme children sing while holding hands and skipping in a circle. They sing " Ring a Ring a roses, a pocket full of posey's, a tissue. a tissue, we all fall down." On " down " they all jump down on their bums. This is acually a rhyme from the plague, 100s of years ago. When someone dies a ring of roses where posted on the door, to warn others to keep away. People sneezed before dying, ( a symptom) then they kind of just fell down dead. Nice isnt it for a childrens song !!! ????

MJ As for our accent, we LOVE all types of American accent, so we will want to be listening to you too!
Elouise almost picked up a bit of a Floridian accent last time we were there ( we were there for 3 weeks!)
We all picked up sayings like "awesome" "soda" and " Have a nice day!" to peope in the UK the last quote is TYPICAL american !

As for handwritting being part of a selection process for a job. Yes this does happen, not that often though, and more in "creative" type roles. As I worked as an area Human Resources manager for a large supermarket for 17 years, we used more conventional methods, like physometric testing, group tasking, interviews ( group and one to one)
Since I have had Elouise I only work part time as a store manager of a high street fashion store called " Next". Its fun, I get great discount ! and the clothes are beautiful. I often sell Next clothes on E Bay to bidders abroad, once E has grown out of them.

Yes I know both nursery rhymes although we say them slightly different here. Also knew the history. But I am a poem nut myself. I recently purchased all of the old grade school books from my youth that I could find on line

There are worse things Americans could be known for than saying "have a nice day" I am okay with that.

We sing ring around the rosies ashes ashes we all fall down, least that's how I sang it when I was a little kid - but I know I got other songs and words wrong as well I used to call the water tower in my town the milk tower!

Jacob is a huge X-Men fan - so is one of my brothers, he has a massive collection.
Jake and I went to IOA a few years ago and we saw them all ride through and I got my picture with spiderman and we made a movie on my camera of him autographing a t-shirt for my obsessed nephew - he was soooo impressed that I had met spidey! LOL

alright! I need to get ready to go. We're going shopping too

i had a wonderful time last night, most of it was because my boyfriend is such a gentleman but the food was delicious (baked ziti) and the movie had me out of my seat a few times but it was a great movie.

i knew the history of "ring around the rosie pocket full of posie ashes ashes we all fall down" when i use to sing it as a kid. actually the history made it funner for me

its funny that you say you like listening to our accent i didnt know we had one hahaha i guess i thought we were the normal one and everyone else talked weird. but us normal definitly not the case. and like my mom said out of all the thing we could be known for its "have a nice day" i dont think i EVER say that

and i also get words wrong all the time i use to call pink yellow and yellow pink! maybe that is just a bit of dyslexia.

Hi Everyone, hope you don't mind me joing in, just wanted to let you know that me and DH will be on this cruise also. We fly out to Orlando International on Cotober 13th, two nights at the All Stars and then have transfers from the AKL to the ship for the 4 nighter on the 15th, we then have 11 nights back at the Saratoga ....

Hope you don't mind me intruding, but you all sound so excited and so much fun, that I wanted to join in

Sorry I'm not that Lindy I do use the DIB though, but im "Elouise" on there ( Thats my daughters name). Sorry!!!...... anyway whats this about "buzzing"?? sounds interesting!

Have you done a Disney cruise before ???? It s our first cruise and as you can guess, if you read all my messages, we are really really excited !

We have a great bunch cruising with us. Glad you could join in, lets hope many more do so before Oct.

We live in Swindon, so not that far from you. I use to work for Sainsburys and Wales was part of my area that I covered. I stayed in the Mumbles for about 6 weeks whilst opening a local store, they had lush ice cream there!!!!

Its great to meet you, you really don't want to know about the buzzing it started as a chat about Buzz Lightyear, and me and the other Lindy got a bit carried away

I read through all the posts and I can see that you are all really excited, as I am, this will be our third DC, we have done two three nights on the Wonder and this will be our first four night, you are going to love it so much !! My DH is adddicted and now wants to cruise ever year I have him out doing the overtime

We are in Merthyr Tydfil, a couple of months ago DH did lots of carpentry work at the Honda Plant in Swindon, he was working there at weekends ....

I was so excited when I found this thread - and am really pleased that you don't mind me joining in Jules

Glad you like the cruises so much, it makes me even happier with our decision to "go for it ". We have booked a 7 nighter for NEXT Oct, already, while its cheap ( well cheaper!!!). so if we like it, which im SURE we will, we have got a good price. If we dont like it, we can always cancel ! ( doubt that! )
