Anyone going to Blue Lagoon, Nassau or have been there in the past? Wondering if it is worth it to get off the ship in Nassau to visit this beach

We are doing the Blue Lagoon beach day! I've never been before, though. Anyone else gone before?

My wife and I went to Blue Lagoon in '98 on our first cruise and really enjoyed it. That time we also did the dolphin encounter. We fell asleep in a hammock and almost missed the last ferry back to the ship. Blue Lagoon was the highlight of that cruise. We are looking forward to taking our boys this time for the beach day.:woohoo:

Thanks for the review... We were not going to get off the boat in Nassau and then we found out DD11 is too small to do the bike tour in Key West, so decided since we have been to Key west and they are docking at the Navel station instead of Mallory square, we were not going to get off there. (or maybe we will) Plus DD11 found out that Nassau is not Nasa (Kennedy Space Center), she wants to set foot to say she has been there.

Hi everyone!

We just booked this cruise (me, DW, DD 14, and DD 12) and are very excited. This will be our 6th Disney Cruise. We haven't cruised out of Galveston before and have a question I'm hoping someone on here can help with.

We found a great deal on airfare but it doesn't get in until 9:50AM. We were planning on taking the DCL transfers but don't know if this is too late. Does anyone know, or know when the last transfer leaves?

Thank you!

DCL webpage says 1pm

Does anyone know about tea with the princesses and how we go about doing that activity? Thanks for the help!!!

What is the plutos thing everyone is talking about?

It is offered in the Lab or Club and a couple of nights they will offer a time with either Goofy (when my daughter went 2 times) or Pluto and they have a PJ Party. They get to color pillow cases.. (found these pictures)

They also have a Do Si Do with Snow White. Characters come to visit in the lab or Club and spend some time with the kids .

what and where is the PJ breakfast? How much?

PJ Breakfast is something someone on this board is arranging. My assumption is that it will be hosted in Tritions (since that is the only dining room that is open for breakfast) and is free of charge. Typically Parrots Cay is used for Character breakfasts (which you will be assigned on Sea days)

Does anyone know about tea with the princesses and how we go about doing that activity? Thanks for the help!!!

When you arrive on the ship, go to guest services and ask when it is. They you get your tickets from them. ONly offered on certain Sea days. It may be Tea with Alice or Tea with Wendy or tea with Disney Friends.. It has changed over the years. When my DD went it was Tea with Alice. Please if you get tickets and decide not to go, turn them back into guest services. It is limited seating and so often I have seen people trying to get in but no tickets available and then when we went there were lots of open tables.

Thank you, I couldn't find that info anywhere on the Disney Website:thumbsup2

So it wasn't in a good location to find, but it under your reservation, if you look at the Air and Ground transportation section this is where you will find it.

Guests Arranging Independent Air Travel

Ground transfers are available for an additional fee for those making their own flight arrangements. To add transfers to your cruise package, call (800) 951-3532 at least 75 days prior to vacation commencement date. In order to provide transfer service, your inbound and outbound flight details are required.

Please allow ample time for all your travel connections. We recommend the following flight-time guidelines:

Latest arrival time to George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Embarkation Day: 1:00 p.m.
Earliest departure time from George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Debarkation Day: 1:30 p.m.

Anybody going to diversions for the football game on the first today? I will be the to see Patriots and Saints game.

We will be taking our first Disney Cruise. My DH and I will be bringing our 6 year old twin boys who will celebrate their 7th b-days on the cruise. We are so excited and would love to join a group to do Fish Extenders.

What is a steamer trunk?

Steamer trunk is a piece of furniture in some of the staterooms that looks like an old fashion steamer truck sitting tall. (It probably stands about 4 to 4.5 feet tall). When you open it. It has 3 large shelves in there for storage.

Not all the rooms have them, but majority of them do.

Also, to store your suitcases during the cruise, lift up the corner of the bed and just slide your suitcases under the bed. Our very first cruise we tried to cram everything into the closet. Found out later about storing them under the bed.

We like the Hotel Galvez. For $14 you get parking all week in a secured parking garage. The hotel is gorgeous on the inside and right on Seawall Blvd. If you are already paying to park then you might consider paying more for the Galvez and get first class service including a shuttle ride to the terminal. Also consider the Tremont house. Both are Wyndham properties and store your car in the same garage by the Hotel Galvez. The Tremont House is on the strand with shopping and restaurants near by.
