Oceaneers Club- Potty Trained Policy?

We are in the process of booking a 4-night cruise for mid May. Our youngest, who will be three at the time of sailing, is not fully potty trained yet. We expect to have her rearing to go by the sail date but were a bit unsure as to the policy/general practice for the Oceaneers Club when it comes to this issue. Are we going to be required to sign up for the Flounder's Reef Nursery Group if she is not full potty trained?

Children are required to be fully potty trained in order to participate in the clubs without a parent present. Here is a link to a thread outlining the requirements. Flounders will be an option for those who are not fully trained. Good luck!

Unfortunately, yes!

To get to the Club, children must be "within a month of their third birthday or older and must be potty trained. Potty-trained means that the child must be able to use the potty without assistance including the paperwork."

That is a informative post...and always interesting to see everyone’s view point! It appears that if she is potty trained by then and we wish to keep her in a pull up for safety reasons that is acceptable with Disney. We don’t want to go against their policies so we will see where we stand when cruise time rolls around!

I think I am missing something about the sneaky parents... but, conerning the pull-ups, it is my understanding that pull-ups are not permitted in the Oceaneer's Club. They do allow for either 2 or 3 accidents until a child is told that they cannot return to the club. And the counselors cannot go into the bathroom with children, so the child must be capable of going to the bathroom without assistance.

You should be fine by May. My son has been trained since early July and turned 3 in late September. He couldn't go to preschool or camp unless he was.

At first it was a little shaky, and he needed to be reminded to go. But 6 months later he is an expert! He just hates to leave anything fun to go. We're still practicing the "paperwork" but I'd think that would be easier for girls.
