What happens in the evenings at Oceaneers Club? I may leave my kids in there one night for dinner--may not at all. I have read that they take all the kids up to the buffet at dinner time. I don't know how my kittle guys will do at the buffet without me. How does this worK?

I was thinking if Dh and I did a dinner on our own at Palo, I'd schedule it late and take the boys to their dinner first then check them into Oceaneers while we dined. If they've already eaten, will they have to go to the buffet and sit while the others eat?

Also, if we left them late one night (Late for us --10:00!), what would happen? IS there a quiet place for them to sleep? Then we'd carry them to our room?

Thanks for the insight.

If they've already eaten, they will get taken back for seconds.

They apparently "pre-load" trays and bring them to the younger kids. The trays get some chicken fingers and some mac and cheese and some fruit and ---- well, the stuff on the buffet that an average five year old would eat.

If you have a late dinner at Palo, the kids will have already eaten. Dinner time for the kids is pretty early - dinner is from 6-6:30 and they are back in the clubs by 6:45. So you could get them fed early (I think Topsiders/BBB is closed for the half an hour the kids are in there, so real early - or plan on burgers or pizza) then drop them off after 6:45

Somewhere around 10 (you'll have to check the Navagators on www.castawayclub.com for the exact time) all the kids (in the CLub but not the Lab) get mats out in front of the large screen and they watch a movie. My 5 year old was almost always picked up between 11 and 12 and would be found asleep on his mat.

Thank you both for your replies.

Knowing that they bring them the food sounds a lot better than them going through the line (Nightmare for the counselors!)

And it's good to know about the mats and the movie. They'd love that--if they can stay up that late.

My kids both gave up naps at 15 months old, but I think I will try and play hard, everyone nap in the afternoon and stay up late. They would love some of the shows if they've napped.

Plus I don't want to go and have dh and I both back in the room for the night by 8:00.

They ran two matinees on our cruise (Golden Mickeys and Disney Dreams both had a matinee), which worked great for our preschoolers. We never took them to a late show. My son we'd pick up - well the first night right after the show and the second night during.....the third night we picked him up after dinner and took him to a magic show. My daughter would stay until the first movie ended and we'd pick her up around 10 or 10:30 - usually sleeping on her mat.
