I have a pretty elementary question here... Do all the Villa's at Vero have Ocean views? I realize there is a distinction between the views of the Inn rooms, but no distinction in views for the Villa's....

Has anyone booked Vero at the 7 month mark for April? It's school vacation in the NE and I'm wondering if we will be able to have any chance at booking 7 months out, I don't want to get my hopes up if it's not generally possible....

Thanks!

If by Villa's you are refering to the beach cottages, then yes, they all have wonderful ocean views from the second floor (the view from the first floor is obscured by vegitation and the dune).

If you mean something more generic, then technically, none of the studio, 1Br or 2Br units have ocean views - they are considered to be ocean-side.

Now, having said that, you can find units with a view of the ocean, usually from the patio (though a few units do have better views than others) and only from the upper floors. Anything on on the ground floor has to cope with vegitation and the dune; the second floor is a maybe (depending on location) the third floor is the best chance for getting some sort of view of the ocean.

Not sure about how tough it is to book for April - but it is considered "premier" season for Vero, which suggests that it may be a tough time to book.

Very few of the the 1 & 2 bedrooms or studios actually have ocean views. If you are on the first or second floor, you aren't up high enough to see over the dune that separates the ocean from the resort. Your best bet is to request a third floor room and a "direct" ocean view. Even then you can't see the beach because of the dune. If you don't get an ocean view, at least the grounds are beautifully landscaped. The grand villas all have ocean views.

I don't know about booking in April, but we have booked first week of May at about 6 months out. There's always the waitlist.

No, they do not all have ocean views. The whole resort is right on the beach but there is a protective dune between the buildings and the sand. This makes actually seeing the water difficult from some rooms/villas. (You can certainly hear it.)

Also, some rooms will face towards A1A -- this can be a very lovely view as well because you will also be facing the Indian River in the not too far distance.

Original plans for Vero included rooms that would be Oceanside and non-Oceanside. Right now, everything is "oceanside" but not necessarily ocean view. This can be one of your requests.

April is very popular but it is also very high point cost. It is certainly worth taking a shot at making a reservation. I was able to book a spur of the moment trip for this past weekend with under 2 weeks notice. (Not for me....a treat for relatives.)

Thanks for the information... I was really hoping for an ocean view... (oh well, have to adjust the expectations)...

I have some more questions, are there elevators in the buildings? One thing I've also thought of, is it easier to see the ocean from the Studio Inn rooms (ocean side)?

And, last but not least, are there any member websites with lots of pictures???

Thanks!

We just returned from VB. Only the rooms in the Inn will ensure an Ocean view.

We opted for a room in the Inn and it was wonderful. We ended up on the fourth floor overlooking the ocean.

I don't believe any of the villas would provide a great view of the ocean, since the buildings are not very tall.

If you want an ocean view, plan to stay in the Inn.

All of the buildings have elevators.

If you stay in the Inn, you can get an Ocean View Inn room, which will have a direct view of the ocean.

If you stay in a studio, it's pretty much hit-miss with regard to the view (just like with the other rooms), but again, upper floors provide a better view.
