I think we have decided we are going to go to Ocean City,MD for a week this summer. We would like to rent a oceanfront condo. I have been looking at the Golden Sands condos. Anyone have other recommendations?
Also any good restaurants you would recommend?

Thanks!:goodvibes

I spend time in OC every summer. I have never rented a condo, but I can suggest some restaurants. Phillips is probably my favorite restaurant on earth! There are a couple of locations, but I prefer the one around 21st street.

Also, I assume you will spend some time walking the boardwalk while you are there. We generally eat at Dough Roller on the boardwalk. We like the pizza, but what we really like is the fact that it is one of the few places on the boardwalk to sit indoors and eat. On a hot day, this could be helpful.

Have a great trip!

I just need to say that I dislike this thread cause DH and I LOVE OC,MD and the past two years have had to forgo OC,MD to take the boys to disney....but I am SURE missing some $2 bus rides, Dough roller, Dumsters and phillips. MAN! Bayside skillet is awesome but pricey!

We always stay at the Golden Sands. It awesome. Nice private beach. Good arcade, nice tiki bar like thing, large kiddie pool, nice outdoor and indoor pool. Some of the rooms have and older decor but hey it's OC, MD.

Little side story....DH and I met when we were 14 and 15 at the Golden Sands!!! We actually have a picture of us on the beach take 12 years and 3 days prior to DS2 birthday! HAVE FUN I would recommend Golden Sands to ANYONE!

Here is a great website!

click on Golden sand (about half way down) and your dates and you can even see pictures....also 1 bedroom the master bedroom is on the bay side but if you get 1 bedrooms and a den master bedroom is oceanfront w/ LARGE floor to ceiling windows! And I don't think there is much different between the 1 bdrm and 1bdrm and den. I also think the 2 and 3 bdrm has the master on the ocean side but you may wanna check that...PM me if you have any questions ;-)

we stayed at the seawatch last year and were very happy with it. It is up north so about a 15 min drive down to the end of the boardwalk where all the rides are. The building is designed in such a way that every condo has ocean views. Besides the beach there was an indoor and outdoor pool and playground area.
