We are a family of 5 with 3 kids, 10, 8 & 5...I see lots of condos for 4 people on skyauction that really would work fine for us with the little one sleeping in the bed with his siblings but I guess I'm too scared to actually bid on a 4 person condo for fear we'd be thrown out. Are my fears justified or would you bid on a condo such as this that says 4 person if you were in my shoes? Thanks

As a 5 person family, I have done that, and you shouldn't have any problems with getting caught and thrown out. It is mainly because of the fire codes and such. Some condo rental companies don't really care if the child is small like yours is. Is there a way to call the company that you are renting from and ask?

Ya, dah, guess I could call and ask I just kinda breeze thru the skyauction site and notice most are for 4 people so I don't really look into them too much, so that just got me thinking I wonder if there would be any problem if we stayed in a 4 person unit with the little kids instead of a bigger one. I'm the type of person that never does anything wrong or breaks the rules because the minute I do I'm caught. So I was just curious what other peoples thoughts were on this.

completely depends upon the resort - Celebration world resort, silver lake, even some of the units at Cypress pointe - say they are for 4 people.

they are NOT....

there is full bed in the master, and double (full) sofa bed in the livingroom.

4 of my family would not fit in this unit... okay we are big people. but be certain that the unit is big enough first....

now if the description says a king bed, and queen sleeper sofa (which some definitely do) then you would be fine...

but those little rooms I can't recommend for a family of 4 much less 5.

It would be better to bid on a 2br unit that sleeps six than to worry about it. You'd always feel like you needed to sneak in and out.

Most resorts probably wouldn't say anything, but they WOULD have the option of saying one of you couldn't stay there. That would be a real pain.
