Nothing really new, but a nice summary.

Uuugh! Guess this explains why WOC was not showing on the entertainment schedule yet?? So their kickoff for their holidays is the 10th yet some major components dont start until the next weekend?!? Makes no sense. Trying to not get upset yet but geesh!!!

Well, World of Color is supposedly easily changed over, but you still need a test and adjust period for the needed changes. I think it might happen, but as with everything at Disney, nothing is ever promised and subject to change. Also would be a good time to do some needed maintenance during a slow period before peak Holiday time.
And yes, I am doing a bit of Devil's Advocate, but then again, as someone with a rich knowledge of Disneyland history, can easily happen.
As they say, don't count your chickens until they hatch...
Alas, at Disney, even if they do hatch, they can come and take them away from you with no rhyme or reason.
Sorry to have to be the one topoint that out.
And FYI, the reporter that wrote the article is a former WDI employee of 21 years, and then 5 years working for other Theme Park Companies before becoming a reporter in 1997. So he has a lot of connections.
What?
I just changed my WOC dessert party reservation from the 19th to the 17th to keep as many options open for PTN viewing as possible.
Why on earth would I have ever expected the new version to start on the 18th? It sounds like they have sort of changed their minds on when to start the holiday season. And I'm sorry but once you announce something and people make plans, you need to stick with it! I should go check that holiday blog announcement and see if they scrubbed it yet.
The article says the same thing about the fireworks, which the fireworks are clearly starting on the 10th, so I think we're good.
I hope so! But I do think it's still strange that while they are selling spots for the dessert party, they still don't have WOC listed on the entertainment schedule past the 9th. That's just barely 2 weeks out.
I just spoke with a CM in parks information and she said everything between Nov 10 - Jan 8 should be the holiday versions.
