Obsessively Watching the Weather

I'm feeling the same stress as everyone. We leave is 17 days and I've been tracking these storms non-stop. NHC, StormPulse, and Weather Underground have become my best friend. I'm very concerned about Gaston and the disturbance off the west coast of Africa.

Storms, storms go away! No more hurricane parade!

We're right there with you !! I keep watching these storms brewing...it's making me crazy !! Enough already !! :worship:

We haven't told our boys about this trip...it is a surprise to celebrate their birthdays. We were planning on picking up our oldest from school, and just heading straight to the airport. Our youngest is going to think that is awesome. He thinks we can go to Disneyworld at anytime, so we were going to plan it that way for them. I will be really bummed if we have to cancel!

Its hot here. We wasnt feeling the heat until we stayed out there!! Im still watching the weather but so far its nice

I too am obsessively weatching the weather...I have even cryed over the weather...we are going to Disney this Saturday and we will live in Nova Scotia and are supposed to fly out as Hurricane Earl or a trpoical storm rips through with lots of rain and high winds...we are supposed to be celebrating our 1st Wedding Anniversary by going to the Disney's Spirit of Aloha that night...I am sad because I have spent so much time planning...But I am still exicted and hopeful the weather will change and we can fly out on time...please send us and to all those affect some positive thoughs :)

We leave in 1 week! I more concerned with the overall Sept weather as we are planning a family GTG at BLT for next year, and with several elderly family members, I may have to move the dates to Oct and hope for cooler weather. As far as DW and myself, bring it on!!

I'm happy to see that Gaston has downgraded to a Tropical Depression. I really can't believe how many storms there has been. Based on projections, if Gaston does hit Florida, it should be around the 14/15th but I'm really hoping it fizzles out. There are too many disturbances off the west coast of Africa that I'm concerned about. Positive thoughts everyone! :)

I'd be more interested in watching the weather if they could actually predict it
very far in advance---

Gaston has fizzed!!! Gaston's little friend behind him scares the crap out of me though!!:scared1::scared1:

Gaston has fizzled, but from what I read the conditions are ripe that it could flare back up...let's hope not!!!!

Weather...

so I just want to know the temperatures to pack and I've just see the 'scatered thunder storms' forecasted as a remind for bring the ponchos to the parks.

I'll pray for those cities drenched in water b/c of Earl.

And no more weather.com for me!

We leave in 19 days!!! It has been a looong time since I have been to Disney and my dh and I have never been there together. This will also be the first time for my kids (8 and 5). I am so hoping there are no hurricanes then!!!

Jen

jasmom, I am also a nervous flyer and have not flown since 94!!! I am very scared to fly, but just keep thinking about how much time we will save. Just hoping for a smooth uneventful flight.

We leave in 20 days to drive down and are praying for no hurricanes. this will be my DS-5 first trip and i'm just praying for beautiful weather...

And what is with this little thing to the south west going north east???It is forming over land??? I thought that couldn't happen!

We're leaving the 22nd and we are also keeping an eye on the weather as we were at CBR for Frances back in 2004 and tis' the season :scared1:

Oh my! Looks like Hurricane Igor is expected in the next few days. Let's hope that it heads North or fizzles out. If it hits Florida, they expect is the 20th/21st. This is too much stress for me. :sad2:
