I did some observing this past Sunday and really thought about some issues some may have to deal with on this board while at WDW.
First: This was at 9:25 on Sunday May 17- walking toward /past the teacups
toward fantasy land
We got to see Ariel with a 5 minute wait. The line there is not all twisty and it's one line- no turns etc.
We were told by the CM to head over to toontown as they were opening soon and we'd not have a long wait for Fairies.
We got there and maybe 15-20 people were there - the CM's announced they would *walk* us to the tent and told us which side to stand on to see
Mickey, Faries, or princesses. There was NO mad rush as I have read about before. the Cm's really kept control of the crowds and no one was allowed to run. When we got to the fairies line we were the 3rd in line. the lines didn't seem to be really *tight* close together as other places. we skipped over to see princesses and that was a 5 minute wait. While we were waiting a family came in with a Special needs child and they were let in through a back door. ( where you normally exit) I spoke ot a CM and she told me it depends on the CM's if you can get in a different way. (Except for Make a wish type trips)
We headed over to adventure land and I really felt *tight* and closed in at the jungle cruise lines. Really close together and I hated it. We will splurge for a fast pass next time
We walked on pirates- no lines at all. This place is dimly lit inside to get to the ride. I never feel terribly crowded in here even with lots of people. I do have issues seeing things on the way to the ride. For once people were not using flash photography
so I could see everything and not spots
we headed over to the tiki birds and as normal no real wait- not crowded and the lines are nice and wide. it is DARK inside and LOUD-
magic carpets have a sorts *tight* line. it is a bit crowded but no real wait here either.
Over to the tree house- I get a bit closed in on this walk-it wasn't crowded but there have been times where kids want to push and run and not stay in line when we are up high -it gets my heart pumping and I hold a bit tigher to the ropes.
so we go to get me my first Dole whip
and fates were against me or I should say Mickey was against me.
MY DD who says one day she will be CEO of Disney got a celebrating button saying she was celebrating being future CEO of Disney. Well this got her talking to a CM and that got us to another CM who took us on a *mini* tour and got us to guest services where she got a certificate and all kinds of special attention.
by that time it was lunch reservations at Crystal Palace so i didn't get my dole whip
I will finish up a dining report and other Line/ ride observations if anyone is interested
I hope this will help
