Objects being shot down

So apparently we have now shot down four objects..one of which was the surveillance balloon off NC. Today the 4th one was over Lake Huron. What is your best guess as to what they are and who is responsible? China? Russia?

If find it fascinating that all of a sudden we are hearing about them. And I just read that the one over Lake Huron doesn’t appear similar to one’s they have seen China utilize . New technology?

What’s your thoughts?

I thought there was won by the US-Canada border? Was that yesterday? I don't know what to think, but I have read lots of comments about why on earth are we freaking out about this when there are far more serious things to be all up in arms about instead of a balloon. One YouTuber clip I saw compared it to seeing a mafia hitman dumping a body in the water, but being upset because he had leather shoes on.

Definitely not extra-terrestrials, I am sure they have better things to do than come and observe Earth.

It's a test (by China) to see how we respond (we won't, in any major way) so they can proceed with their ultimate aim of reunification with Taiwan under One China. It's a long game for them.

I don't think it's very new technology. In fact, I think it's very OLD. I think they (whomever "they" are,) have been flying them for decades. In the past, they were considered UFOs, weather balloons, and many were, or just dismissed by governments as overactive imaginations. As various countries flew over each other's countries. (Sometimes, really for weather.)

No one was up in arms over the one that flew over South America. No one shot that down.

China already has (surveillance) satellites up in space. Same as we do. Same as Russia. China didn't NEED to send an obvious balloon here to surveil anything. It was only when it was noticed, then nothing done about it, that it became a huge thing.

There is probably some poor Chinese balloon technician who is being lined up for an execution squad now, as we speak, as he steered this balloon in the wrong place to get too much notice.

Remember, these aren't new. Three entered US airspace with no action taken under the Trump administration and one or to under Biden, before the first was shot down. I think I'm right in saying that four or five have been spotted over Europe too.

Wait until a poor runaway hot air balloon is accidentally shot down as people panic it's another surveillance balloon. What a fuss there will be then.

But, but NORAD had the ability to track Santa and 8 tiny reindeer, yet we couldn't detect leisurely flying balloons until now?

The U.S. government has only recently UN-classified some files on UFOs and are calling them something else now.

Wait until 20 years from now when someone lets slip, "Remember that balloon that we gave China the credit to have made? Well. . ." Oops!

And right now the heads in China are probably going, "Yes!"

"The world is actually giving us credit to have created the technology to fly a balloon with the payload of 3 buses, up at 60,000 ft for several days over an ocean and a couple continents! Sure, we'll take the credit!

. . Uh, by the way, we want all the material you shot down. Err, we want it BACK."

You know, you may be onto something. If the balloon was pink or blue, no one would have thought anything of it. But, because it was a gender-neutral color, as the parents want the kid to choose it's own gender, it created an uproar. Those three bus loads of containers are probably all sparklers & confetti.
