OBB Questions re: 2nd Stateroom

I'll be sailing next week with DS6 and plan to do an OBB for a specific sail date (not just a placeholder). Will I be able to book a 2nd stateroom with OBB benefits for the same future sailing even though I'll be the only adult on board when I make the booking? I'll need the room #2 for the future cruise.

Also, if for some reason the folks intending to sail with us in room #2 elect to cancel, will that have any impact on the OBB for room #1?

Finally, if room #2 is canceled, can I transfer that OBB to a second future cruise? I'm guessing the answer is no, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

I apologize if these questions have been asked before, but I could not find the answers when I searched.

You can book two staterooms for the same sailing and receive OBB benefits. You can not change one of the bookings to a different date and keep those benefits for the different date.
If the folks in the second cabin cancel you can still keep your OBB for the first cabin as long as you are one of the people in that cabin.

Yes. Our last cruise my mother & I (two different addresses) were able to book one cabin for us, one for younger sisters family and 2 for my older sisters family. All 4 cabins had reduced deposits OBC and 10% discount. All four are for the same sailing date.

It might be easier if you have your friends' information with you. Then you can book your room in your name and their room in their name. The benefit of this is that everyone that needs to be in your room can be put on your reservation now and get the OBB at the current rate. If you add someone to your stateroom later it would be at prevailing rates and they might go up.

You can only book 2 rooms on the same future cruise that will receive the OBB perks. You can book 4 rooms, for the same future cruise, but only 2 of them will get the OBB perks.

The onboard booking benefits are only available for up to 2 rooms per home address. If you are traveling with someone with a different home address, each of you can book 2 rooms with OBB benefits.

I think we were able to book 3 staterooms for the same future cruise while on one cruise. Only 2 of them got the discount and reduced deposit. All three got stateroom credit.
