My brother is coming with us on the Magic in November . We want to book a place holder in order to finally to get to Alaska in 2018. If we book the place holder is it 250 per stateroom or 250 per guest . Additionally , will we still get the 10% discount when we use the place holder with a TA?

It's per stateroom booked. Yes, if the cruise qualifies for the discount, you get it with a TA or direct booked.
