Last week, reports surfaced that Obama was considering appointing his highest-ranking gay campaign official, deputy campaign manager Steve Hildebrand, as successor to Democratic National Committee Chair Howard Dean. Dean announced last week that he would not seek another term as chair.

Some of the gay rights folks are thinkin' about havin' a few inaugural parties in case any of y'all are interested.

This is awesome.

I just wish that it wasn't a news item. Like it is no big deal... Doesn't matter if the person is gay, straight, not sure, or all of the above....

I wish it could be about the person, not their race, color, orientation... ya' know?

Some very smart guy once said something about content of character....

Ah, well... SOMEDAY! :thumbsup2

I agree entirely, but it is what it is. I think it's just another step that proves he will hold up his side of the deal when it comes to including, recognizing, and fixing the inequalities that exist for LGBT people.

Sounds like Obama might turn out to be a new CSP: Cool Straight President
