Hi,

It's been one of those days. This morning I woke up with the worst anony in my left hip, I couldn't move at all without screaming. I think I pulled something in my hip when I was swimming last night and it seized up while I was sleeping. I had to call my husband on the cell phone, which just by luck was on the bed side table, and ask him to come home and get me out of bed. He took me into the doctor's and they gave me some muscle relaxers. I'm home now, but don't know how long I can sit here, it's the first time I'm been up and moving around all day.

The good part was that when I called Paul he was at the computer store ordering our new computer, which we should get a couple of days.

Dianne, watch those muscle relaxers. If it's the one that most doctor's prescribe, it basically removes your higher brain functioning and you are on auto-pilot for breathing. I hate taking them, and only do it when it is absolutely necessary (as your sounds, you poor thing).

But, if you are not used to taking them, they can make you feel very, very weird.

Just giving you a head's up!

That is a good/bad day! Rest up and I hope you are better soon!

Awww...I hope you are feeling better soon!! :goodvibes

:grouphug:

I hope you feel better soon! I know how that feels. I have bursitis in my left hip and have learned not to do roundhouse kicks with my left leg in ty-kwon do class, or I wake up in agony too.

I hope you are feeling better very soon. That sort of pain is awful.

I'm having a bad day too. I've been quite sick with an abcessed tooth. It's a long and complicated story. I had a root canal today. I may have permanent nerve damage in my face from the swelling. I have an antibiotic resistant bacterial infection and have a high risk of developing a heart infection if the infection spreads to my blood. I got a new prescription for some antibiotic that has very nasty side effects but should wipe out the infection. I paid $1200 for all this misery. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Now I'm breaking out in a rash. :furious: :furious:

I made an emergency call to the doctor and I need to stop taking the antibiotic and pain medication. This should make for a very not fun night.

I'm so sorry to hear that cat (Dianne) and qruthie are not feeling well. I hope you are both doing better soon. I am sending you good thoughts and pixie dust. You both add so much joy and fun to my time in VMK, and I wish you both very speedy and complete recoveries!

Hope that you are feeling better. Have fun with the new computer! :)

Guess it won't hurt me then. LOL Sorry, just kidding.

Well, I'm up and moving around but it is very slowly. Still got pain in the hip but I can get out of bed by myself and mostly walk by myself. Stairs are still a problem.

Paul got the new computer hooked up to the internet last night and the shockwave and flash downloaded about 20 minutes ago. I'm going to be in the game for a little while at a time, I can't sit still for long peroids just now.

Qruthie, I hope you are feeling better. I've done the dental pain thing in the past and I know it isn't fun.

Cat, I'm glad you are feeling a bit better. I was thinking of and worried about you all day. Muscle spasms that make it so you can't walk are so horrible! I'm impressed with what you are able to do so far! Keep on feeling better. :grouphug:

I'm doing a bit better today. The pain has decreased so much! I'm slowly regaining the feeling in my face. The itchy rash is worse today but I'll take an itchy rash over a toothache or muscle spasms anyday! :thumbsup2

Are you able to sit more now? Has there been more improvement? I know, it's none of my business but I really do care about you not feeling well. :goodvibes

I started a new antibiotic today. I hope this one works.

Yes and no. I can sit for longer times, but it still hurts like crazy to get up and walk around. I get a weakness in that leg if I try to walk too much on it. It will pass in time. I'm just glad (the glad game) that we are not going to WDW this week. Is that really something to be glad about? :lmao:

You slay me! :lmao: :lmao:

It's funny how we can still be funny despite the pain. I know how the leg weakness thing works. My mother had sciatica when she was in her late 30s. She seemed to alternate between total numbness in her leg and agony. They seemed to happen in that order too. Stand on leg, leg goes numb, fall to floor then pain shoots down leg making it impossible to get up.

I really hope you recover very, very soon. :goodvibes :goodvibes

Sorry to hear your feeling bad. Get better soon. (My back is keeping me in today) :grouphug:

Yay for the new computer! That should help with fireworks. :)

Thank you Dmamie! I forgot to say that I seem to be improving each day. I don't have pain anymore but still have the itchy rash. I've been able to play a lot more VMK this weekend! :cool1: :cool1:

Your pain sounds awfully similar to mine. I have had this for about 6 weeks now and I have had it! I pulled a muscle one night and couldn't walk after that. It felt like my leg was gonna fall off at my hip joint. I have sharp pains that shoot down my leg and radiate there off and on most of the day. The chiropractor hasn't been able to do anything and my GP said it is Piriformis Syndrome. It was getting better every day, but hurts a bit today.
