My usually reasonable 14 yr old son left the car door open last night and I go out this morning at 5AM to find about 1.5ft of snow in the front seat. I've never seen him get out of bed so fast after I practically killed him to help me clean it out. PS The car still started!

:scared1: Oh no! I am sure you aren't laughing right about now, but someday you're gonna look back at this...........

I hope this was the dry, fluffy snow and not the wet, heavy stuff so it would at least easier to brush out and not soaked into the seat.

:thumbsup2Did you take pictures to use against him in the future.

My kids left the sliding van door open. The neighbor's cat unbeknownst to us decided to hop in. I closed the door by remote from inside the house. They next morning when I was taking my daughter to her SAT exam we heard blood curdling screams from the back seat.:scared1: I have never moved so fast in my life.

If it makes you feel any better...at least it wasn't raining...
We now a spoiled snowflake who convinced her parents she needed a NEW car when she started driving. (Not a used car but a new one.) She left the windows opens during a real hard rain. The car was ruined.

Look at the bright side...mistakes like that they usually make 1 time!

I'm laughing now b/c no real damage was done ....these teenagers make you age fast-UGH! ;)

Are you sure he left it open and somebody didn't break into it last night?

Its not just teenagers, my dh did that once too. Of course it wasn't his car, it was mine. Now when he goes out to the car I ask him he remembered to shut the door. He isn't amused by that, but I sure am

Sounds like something my 15yr old DS would do. :rolleyes1 He hit puberty and a fog settled in over his brain.

OOPs

A friend of ours left his car window down, had 2" of rain that night-it wasn't good.

oh no! I would have be livid!

Although when my oldeest was 4 he decided to try and use the garden hose to make a swimming pool out of my Cabrio that had the top down. Amazingly we just had to open the doors to drain the water and let it sit in the sun a few days...

Was NOT happy then, but really laugh about it now.

:lmao:

I've heard of people leaving the windows open but never the doors

I am always afraid that this might happen to me!!!! My kids can never seem to shut the sliding doors on our van!!!!:headache:

Ah...gotta' love them! One morning, we were getting in the car and I wasscolding them for having the interior light on- it was light out! Ds corrected me. He hadn't put it on, it was on from the previous night when he had gotten something out of the car! TG is started. They are prone to leaving the car doors open, too.How does that happen?

We only got a dusting, but as I was out there brushing off the snow from my car, I found out that DS7 left his door open yesterday as well :headache: There was a little bit of snow inside the car, but thankfully, my car started :thumbsup2
