O.K. Ladies, Are Denim Overalls Out?

Out! Throw them out! Or give them away (I'm usually all about donating but I'm not sure you should donate something that far out of style!). I do understand about them being comfortable though. On another thought, think about going to the bathroom in them in the park, that is a lot to take down and I don't think I'd want them to touch the floor in the bathroom, yuck! So for no other reason than that I'd probably not wear them, even if they were the most stylish piece of clothing you could own (which clearly, they aren't!).

C'mon you can embellish them like they do with little girls and turn them into a new ebay hot ticket item.....put Chef Mickey on the front and YUM on your butt in a food print fabric :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Who knows what trend you could start? Heck, they managed to bring back skinny jeans and heel! :hippie:

Am I crazy to think that khaki done nicely (a.k.a gap?) might still be reasonably okay. Not within fashion realm, but I think it would be do-able. Just me...:rotfl:

Okay, I just have to get this off my chest b/c when I tell my husband he could care less since he hates just about anything and everything on TLC. Stacey and Clinton might know what they are talking about, but I could have an awesome closet full of clothes if I had $5000 to spend on 5-10 outfits all the time! The fact is, I don't. I have to shop the clearance racks with limited choices b/c I'm spending all my money on my kids!

Whew! I feel better now. :rotfl:

P.S. In the 90s, I owned a pair of overall shorts that were white cordoroy! :scared1:

O.K. Ladies, after reading all your posts I have now put my shortalls in today's trash!!!! boo hoo!!! That way there is no temptation to try and wear them on any future vacations.
I am now on the hunt for shorts for next weeks trip, but living in Toronto this should prove to be a challenge. Right now the stores are full of winter wear..yikes!
Thanks again all for your entertaining comments.:)

But its not just the money, its about dressing for your body. I don't agree with everything they say (some women cannot wear heels & if its 100 degrees outside you're going to have to be scarred for life by the sight of my overweight, flabby arms as I'm not wearing sleeves!) but a lot of of it is just recognizing your figure flaws & working around that and you can do that at Neiman Marcus or Target. I don't spend that much on clothes either ($25 at Catos is going a bit crazy for me!!) but I've learned what to look for & I dress much better than I ever have even with the limited resources.

Well, at WDW anyting comfy does go.....But otherwise, OH NO! There is nothing flattering and everything weight adding about overalls!

On a side note, I about peed my pants the other day when I came across an episode of 90210 and there was Dylan McKay wearing overalls, with one strap undone!:rotfl:

oooooo u just told your age lol I remember that one 2 :lmao:
