Well, there is a micro-brewery restaurant across the street from our hotel that we are going to eat at I think. Scotty loves that sort of thing. I know that during the week we are there the park will have the short hours so I was thinking a late dinner there. The beauty being that we can walk back and forth to dinner. I put a link to the menu in my trip report.

I think okra is a key ingredient but when it's okra heavy, that rooty taste ruins it to me.



What brewery? I'm very familiar with that area. That sounds like a great night you've got planned!




I'm compiling a list of holiday must-do's for the trip. Chloe is helping me. I think we need 2 weeks!

I am not a big fan of the taste of okra, not to mention the sliminess of it.


We are planning to eat at JT Schmid's Restaurant and Brewery. It is like right across the street and it looks really good.

That's how I feel about celery. I love it raw but once cooked,it's gnarly.

I totally agree. Three days seems hardly worth it.

Not a real fan of celery myself. Everyone wants to have it in stuffing and I am not a fan of that either.




Scotty loves micro-brews too. I don't know if you have Bevmo but that is a great location to get some great micro-brews. Laugunitas is really good!!

We don't have Bevmo but I've heard of it. I hear their prices are unreal!

A waterside table at the Blue Bayou is pretty cool but even a row away from the water and it loses some magic. The first 11 am lunch seating is a must. I'll take a ton of pics if we do it.

With only 3 full days I am leery to make too many PS.

I've never eaten at a microbrewery. Neither dh nor I drink beer in any way shape or form! But I'm not opposed to the food! Saw the menu where kaoden is going for her trip and there are so many things on there that I like!!

I'm waffling on the Blue Bayou. I only have about a week and I can't decide between that and the F! dessert seating, WoC picnic or Ariel's.

My friend makes her post Thanksgiving turkey pot pie with mashed potatoes and stuffing and it's amazing!

DH makes two stuffings. Only one has celery. If it's chopped small I can eat it but when it's with a pot roast or in large chunks- no thanks!

He's a great friend. We'll only have a day with him but he's a bigger Disney geek than all of us put together.

Update: DH agrees to the 4th night!!! However, we're only staying the 4th day if our size villa opens up at the GCV. I'm on the wait list. Moving for one night is a total PITA. Keep your fingers crossed. I'm on the wait list up until 7 days. After that, I have to call daily. I also made our villa room number request.

Me too! I hate to move for a night and DH is totally against it but it would provide another full day and night at Disneyland.

My flights dropped dramatically today, $750 for the 5 of into Long Beach so I booked without the extra day. I know, I know, I need to turn in my DIS membership.

After being a freak and losing sleep over something so ridiculous I decided it was time to book and move on.

Three days will have to suffice.

I think I'm going to make Blue Bayou PS in the morning. I'll cancel if we change our mind. In fact I haven't even mentioned it but you never know what my goofy family will want to do. I thunk I'm going to make a character breakfast PS for Storyteller's as well as dinner for Carnation Cafe.

I'm still debating on the Fantasmic! dessert seating as well as the WoC Ariel's dining but those are made 30 days out I believe.

I can't believe the trip is so close!!!

With so few days there is so little planning to do. I think that I don't want to over plan because Scotty doesn't like to over plan. I am trying to decide where I really want to eat for VDay because today I started gettingthe over whelming urge to eat at the Blue Bayou. Heck yeah- especially for VDay! BB is one of the coolest places on property. Is the brewery out now?
