Looking for feedback on your New Years Eve restaurant experiences. Which restaurant, special menus, party favors. I looked on allearsnet.com and read abit of info but would like to hear more personal experiences. We will NOT be visiting a park that day so it would be for non-park restaurants at a resort or DTD.

We plan on an early seating and will have 2 children ages 7 & 6 with us, but all experiences welcome.

Thanks

We went to Hoop Dee Doo on NYE in 2004. We didn't want to go to one of the parks and so we figured it would be more festive than a regular dinner.

Judy and I and a pair of friends had dinner at an outside table at Rose and Crown with a 9:50pm reservation on 12/31/03. Service tended to be very slow and our dessert arrived almost two hours after we were seated. Of course IllumiNations started five minutes after we got our dessert. Tipping was very high.

We ate in Germany on 12/31/05. We were there when they celebrated the New Year in Germany. Great fun!! I would highly recommend making a reservation - much better than standing in counter services lines. I wouldn't hestitate to celebrate the New Year again in Epcot.
