I'm sure Jesse will enjoy this December much more than last December.
In all seriousness, his septum was severely deviated, and I struggled with making a decision over him having the surgery. It was just scary to think of him being put under the knife. I remember Jill (Tig's mom) encouraging me to have it done now while he's young. I went to several doctors with him who said to wait until he was 17 because he was still growing, but then I got the idea to call the nose doctor from the TV show Dr 90201, and I actually spoke to Dr. Diamond, the guy on the show. He recommended a NYC doctor, and after a ton of tests and scans, the new doctor said he could do it even at Jesse's age of 15. The only thing was that he didn't take insurance, and he was expensive, but oh well, we just paid it. The guy did a perfect job, both functionally and cosmetically. And his bedside manner to Jesse and the whole family was outstanding.
Jesse could only breathe out of one side of his nose pre-surgery, and now both nostrils are 100% clear. So when he has a cold or allergy now, he's like the rest of us, and not with a double whammy anymore. The bump on his nose is gone, too, so he looks fantastic.
By the way Artie, how's it going with your jaw??
