Hello Matey's - sounds like everyone has been busy - which is good as it helps pass the time till cruise. I'm also glad to see tigger hanging in with us - it means alot since you have been here since the wayyyyy beginning of the first thread.
I got excursion information from Robin "ohioworkingmom" so updating the site tonight.
Brother was doing good until yesterday. Kid was stubborn and tried to pull his pants up by himself after using restroom (apparently he has done it by himself but with someone in the bathroom with him) and he fell - right on his injured right leg (stump). He had a flashback of being in Iraq as they were dragging him out of the bathroom - very similar to the way he was pulled out of the vehicle after the explosion.
BUT the good news is no damage other than bruising and more pain. I talk to him daily and he sounded alot less doped up today and quite well. We talked for 45 minutes and that is the longest we've chatted on the phone for quite awhile. One day at a time is what I say.
I can't imagine but he's just got to take it easy. It's only been a month but he's ahead of recovery schedule by two weeks - before the incident so I know he is getting anxious. We are still to go up to see him October 14th - 19th and are taking the kids. He is very close to Sydney and I know he is very excited to see her. He said that after the explosion went off and he looked down at his leg he thought for a split second about dying but then he thought about Sydney and that helped him.
I think he just needs to be careful because at least one of us kids has the clumsy gene and who knows how much he got of it. I have two full legs and literally fall once a month for no good reason. I even fell at Walter Reed and bruised my knee and ankle - I'm quite clumsy...
Far all you folks East of me (St. Louis) don't worry as fall is coming your way very soon. Today was beautiful and was a high of around 60ish - I love this weather. It's good apple and pumpkin picking weather.

- another complete shut out over Pebble Beach's "Robert Louis Stevenson" school with a final score of 46-0
Congratulations to your DD and friends on their placement in the last comp.
