NYE Western Cruise 2008 - New Thread

Hi everyone!

Been in a blah mood--just lurking lately. Don't know why my kids being back at school is bothering me so much. Aisling, I wish you lived by me--we could hang out during the day and talk cruise!

My Ta called me today. Disney wants me to switch my room to the other side of the ship (same category) for a family group with 9 rooms. They are all on my side and surrounding my room (except for one). That is my favorite side of the ship, but I said OK. I was worried it might get loud around my room with them all running back and forth. I hope I made the right choice--I'm going to miss that side. My TA tried to get me shipboard credit, but they wouldn't give any.

Angelica-- keeping your family in my prayers.

Tigg--I still think about you and Mika--hope your family is doing well.

Brenda--way to go!!!

We have the Akita Rescue picnic to go to this weekend, that should cheer John up if we find a puppy. Just seeing all the Akitas that are going to be there should cheer him up.

I really tried pumping for information earlier today and was told nothing - except for what they gave me earlier about the dress for NYE and the kids clubs being open later

I also was asking - Kara wants to sign up for the Wild Side excursion on Castaway - I was told it starts at 9 - but we don't even get off the ship until 9:30 that day - Kara wants to hunt down Captain Jack on the island and get pictures and shops before she heads off for fun - since I have heard Captain Jack is only out in the morning - so not sure what to do now

Getting my hair up into my hats was the bane of my colorguard captain's existence!
She was ALWAYS on me about getting my hair up. Long hair woulda been so much easier,
mine was choppy and layered so it always came outta my hats

I remember Wil and Chad doing the paper airplane thing when we were in the concierge lounge at AKL, remember, Nan! It's cool that Wilson's still into that!

I know what you mean, Judy. I think about the cruise almost all the time, making plans, thinking about the excursions, the fun at dinner...I want to start packing already.

Jesse and Cory want to do the Wild Side, too. And I MUST see Capt. Jack on the island! I know we'll see him on the ship, but to say I met Capt. Jack on a caribbean island...be still my heart. I'm going to ask him where his jar of dirt is!

Another redhead! Marla I love your hair color. So many times I've thought of dying it red, but I don't even have the nerve to use hair dye to cover the grays that are starting to come in!


Ooh I just noticed that Capt Jack has his hand on my back in Tig's photo!

I'm hoping everything is ok with Anjelica. Sheila, Anjelica's brother Chas lost his leg last week in Iraq, and she's planning to go be with him when he's back in the states, which I think would be by now. I hope she checks in soon. Anjelica, if you're reading, I'm thinking of you and yours.

Hi everybody,
I've been doing a major house de-cluttering. I hate clutter, and I noticed that the closets were getting bad, so I did some re organizingand gave Mel a whole closet for his million tennis racquets and cans of balls and bags of racquet string and gadgets that I don't even know what they are. He has a strinning machine since he strings his own racquets that he had on the dinning room floor, and now it's in the closet. He can pull it out when he wants to use it, and hopefully he'll be a good boy and put it back when he's done.

I bought a wire shelving unit to drill into Jesse's wall for his million xbox and PS2 games that were scattered all over his room. I cleared off his desk and made room for his printer, because he had it under his desk which made it awkward for him to use. His room looks sooooooo nice and neat now.

Jesse and I went through all his clothes last night, and I now have a bag of really nice clothes to pass on to Cory that don't fit Jesse anymore. That'll save my SIL and brother o ton of money on clothes for Cory. I used to love getting hand-me-downs from Jesse's older cousins, but now he's taller than all of them, so we're out of luck.

You know, it's really starting to sink in that the cruise is getting so close. Very very exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nan, please PM me your ressie number, and I'll PM you mine, because we have to do the dinner link. (Do you still want to? We'll totally understand if you'd rather just be with family since mom will be with you, but I hope you want to sit with us!)

I really hope Anjelica checks in soon. I've been thinking about her and her family, thinking about Chas, and I'm truly praying for them. I go to Mass every morning, and have them on my prayer shout out list. I really believe in the power of prayer, even if the situation doesn't change, no prayer goes to waste and God will give peace and comfort even while things are bad. Ok enough preaching, but it's coming from my heart.

Going to pick up Jesse soon from school, take him to work (his lasr week there), go to a meeting for catechism teachers (classes start next week), and then to the gym. I have Disney music loaded in my ipod, and man it sure helps my mood.

that was the vacation in which they really took off (pun intended) he made a hangar in our room and left them for Mousekeeping. He even folded our last tip of $20 for our mousekeeper into an airplane, it was really cute of course I have pictures

I actually had an 'unscheduled landing' a few weeks ago. Took about 30 minutes to fix. I've never actually destroyed one (knock on balsa).
