...We're doing Edward james Olmos on the 25th, at San Angel Inn. I know it doesn't have the best reputation for food, but I've never eaten there, and I absolutely love the atmosphere there...

I have a soft spot for the San Angel Inn - we ate there on Christmas Day 1998 (WOW 10 years ago this year!!!) before the CP and loved it... Here's a couple of photos to get you in the mood, Aisling...

...Edited to add: Yay for Artman! Wish me luck , I'm calling.

How did you get on..?????

I like San Angel

Hope everyone got their Candlelight (s) that they wanted

Yes, Kaz - Very Proud!

I've never eaten at San Angel. Then again, never did CP (really) either.

We watched it with my sister's family and mom from the back in 2002. John Tesh was our narrator. As expected, the family watched three or four songs and were ready to move on. The kids were way too little for me to expect them to sit for the whole show.

ETA: I googled sunset times in FL in Dec, it's 530 :)

I got a 5:30 dinner for the 8:15 CP, San Angel Inn on Friday Dec. 26th. But I may try to change the time. Let me show you how OCD I am with Disney planning:

I wanted Dec. 25th because it's Christmas night, which would be perfect for a religious program.

I wanted 8:15 because I wanted it to be dark enough to enjoy the candle light.

I wanted San Angel Inn because the ambiance is outstanding.

Then I wanted Dec. 26th because Chad and Louise are flying in that day, and I want them to be with us, even though they don't mind missing it, but I still didn't feel right about it.

Then I wanted the lunch package to save money, but then I'd have to go to the 5 pm show, and it wouldn't be really dark.

I also wanted the lunch package because I get a kick out of going into San Angel Inn in broad daylight and then experiencing "night time" when it's still light outside.

Then wanted the 25th again because on the evening before the cruise on the 26th, I just wanted to relax at the WL and have an open-door gathering for any of our cruise friends who'd like to come by.

But then I thought the late CP would be a good way of ending the day before we cruise.

But if I do the 26th, will I feel like I missed Christmas?

It goes on and on. I've gotten over the fact that Gary won't be there, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Mr. Olmos shows up as scheduled.

Ok, I think I'll keep it as is. I think. Hmmm.

Ahem* besides that, you are having the Concierge gathering the 26th -

stick with the 25th~it'll be soooo Magical -I guarantee you will cry a happy tear that night...as far as Chad and Louise are concerned-you have New Years to spend with them. The Christmas spirit lasts thruout the holiday but each New Year only happens once~

I'm happy that you got what you think you might or might not, probably, most likely, maybe, almost certainly wanted.

I think I'm happy for you anyway.:confused3

Ok, I've decided!

I'm calling to change it from the 26th to the 25th! But what time would be best??????????????????????????????

Why not stick with the same time?

:lmao:

Why not stick with the same time?

Because I like the idea of it being light outside and then getting a sensory fooled-ya when it's like night inside the San Angel Inn. It's like, I'm sitting at a table eating at night, and everyone is walking around Epcot in the day!

Also because the lunch package costs less, but not by much, so that really isn't a factor.

Ok, I'll stick with my first reason. Any thoughts?

Personally I like the 2nd Tuesday of any week. And, of course, food would be a good option.

Splurge - be brave - :smokin:

Ok, I just figured it all out.

Just ignore this post if you're tired of my stream-of-consciousness analyses!

Dec. 25th
Same time 5:30 dinner for the 8 whatever program.

At 5:15, it'll STILL be sort-of light outside, so I'll be able to have my light-outside-night-inside sensory thrill! Then I'll have the darkness at 8 for the program.

Calling now!

Lord help me, I just called mel to tell him the good news about the CP, and he said he wants to stay at the hotel that night, so he's not coming with me, Jesse and Cory!:rotfl2:

In the process of updating the website - let me know if you see anything missing, etc. (I've got information I am adding for Trinibjill and Ohioworkingmom).

Hey everyone...

Tigg.. for the seasick weary.. tell them you will get him the patch. It works like a charm. I had one on when I sailed last and never felt a thing. Honestly, on a ship that size, they shouldnt be needed, and we arent going during Hurricane season, so he should be fine..

But pick up the patch for him just in case!!! I say its better to be safe than sorry.. then tell him all the fun we are going to have. Do you have one of the dvd's to show him all about the Magic???

Wanted to confirm and get it posted on the website regarding the group boat on Grand Cayman as the following people:
My family = 4 people
Deb family = 2 people
Aisling family = 6 people
and Tiggerwannabe = 2 people +1 (Trinijbill)

Deb, Aisling, Tiggerwannabe and Trinijbill - let me know if that's correct and if you want me to put down the names of those going in your group with us.

I know I booked it for 15 people so now I am just making sure I accounted for all 15.

Ayup, we're still good.

I'm glad the boat excursion is with you,

my email was kinda vagueish on details for that ;)

Aisling and Mom-aren't you doing the CP together?

Sounds like a dinner date to me!

ETA: see Aisling, that is why you are traveling with all of us and not just Mel ;)
