Wehavawinna!

I wanted to scan those in when I got them, a year ago...

for some reason I never did.

:confused3

It is a really cute card...i saved it too...& will either scan it so i can use it for next cruise pages or put the original in the album...haven't decided yet....

You don't have to scan it silly! I can email you the full size scan or you can copy what I just posted for your own~

The actual surfing part was difficult cause I had to scan it in four pieces and put it back together.

Looky what I just took~

oh duh...you're so right...i can just use those....

Well the stars look good & not anywhere as large as Laura's 'eagle'....i can't imagine the pain a tattoo there would be....sure must have hurt....my niece has "Respect" tattoo'd across her chest...she's 5'5" & i'm guessing she weighs 103 Tops....WELL all you can see of her is the RESPECT till she gets up close;)

Tigg....i like the tattoo designs, also like the one of M&M behind the stairwell/elevator....even have a photo of that in my album...so either would be good for me!

Kaz....WELCOME HOME!!!! I didn't know you were in the Roy suite! Awesome huh? My friend (that i make albums for) usually has the Roy or Walt suite...so i've only seen them thru her photos. VERY VERY cool!!! Hope you feel better SOON!!!!! we need some photos~and so sad to hear about your August 09 cancellations. but maybe we can all get together in '10 - i know i'll be more than ready for another trip on the Magic!!!

That's kinda what I was hoping... :rolleyes1

The whole Roy suite was a surprise for my DD so I played it cool, kept it under my hat etc etc... I will divulge all in my trippie - when I get around to doing it...

I'm not a big fan of tattoos, but those look good! Bigger than I imagined, but I like them. They look perfectly done, too, the lines are so straight. Do they mean anything special?

Britt's friend got similar stars in a different spot...

I doubt they really "signify" anything~

Good afternoon,

I had a busy morning, got a massage, had my hair done, paid some bills, put some beef in the crock pot for tonight, got my rice going in the rice cooker, and now watching the news about Ted Kennedy. Very sad, as it doesn't look good for him.

It's chilly cold here, and drizzly. I was remembering the day we spent on Castaway Cay in 2005, one of the most relaxing days in my life. I sure wish I were there right now.

I saw there were a few new excursions offered through DCL for Cozumel, including zip-lines and Mexican/Mayan cooking. I had been looking into a cooking excursion, but not through DCL. There's one where you actually go shopping at the market for the foods, go back to her kitchen to cook with her instruction, and then sit down for a meal as a group. I like this not because I love to cook (I don't), but I want to experience some Mexican/Mayan culture for the short time we're there, and this seems like a good way, especially if the market is in a village-type area and not a big American-style supermarket. Maybe my family will do the zip-line, and I can go on my own to the cooking trip. There's still time to decide, but I need to start talking to them about their preferences.

On the news, some of the senators are speaking about Ted Kennedy now, and are getting choked up. I've never seen a reaction like that. So it must be really bad news. I hate it when people suffer like that.

Wishing you all a good day, and I'll check it later, and I hope someone posts in the meantime so I have something to read!:thumbsup2

Aisling - I really want to do that cooking thing too, but I thought the DCL one was only through like November? We are thinking of booking the Dolphinarius place on our own, since it is a short ride from where we dock. I assume we will have some more time, maybe in the afternoon - let me know what you decide to do, I might be interested.

We are still thinking about excursion choices as well. Key West is easy we are just going to bum around. Has anyone ever rented an electric car or scooters?

GC and Coz are a different story. My passporter has been shipped, so once I get that I might have a bit more of a clue. (I doubt it though)

I hope someone posts in the meantime so I have something to read!:thumbsup2

I know a desperate audience when I see one. :thumbsup2
It's a great chance to post a long one.

An engineer finally splurged on a luxury cruise to the Caribbean. It was the "craziest" thing he had ever done in his life. Just as he was beginning to enjoy himself, a hurricane roared upon the huge ship, capsizing it like a child's toy. Somehow the engineer, desperately hanging on to a life preserver, managed to wash ashore on a secluded island. Aside from beautiful scenery, a spring-fed pool, bananas and coconuts, there was little else. He lost all hope and for hours on end, sat under the same palm tree. One day, after several months had passed, a gorgeous woman in a small rowboat appeared. "I'm from the other side of the island," she said. "Were you on the cruise ship, too?" "Yes, I was," he answered. "But, where did you get that rowboat?" "Well, I whittled the oars from gum tree branches, wove the reinforced gunnel from palm branches, and made the keel and stern from a Eucalyptus tree." "But, what did you use for tools?" asked the engineer. "There was a very unusual strata of alluvial rock exposed on the south side of the island. I discovered that if I fired it to a certain temperature in my kiln, it melted into forgeable ductile iron. Anyhow, that's how I got the tools. But, enough of that," she said. "Where have you been living all this time? I don't see any shelter." "To be honest, I've just been sleeping on the beach," the engineer said. "Would you like to come to my place?" the woman asked. The engineer nodded dumbly. She expertly rowed them around to her side of the island, and tied up the boat with a handsome strand of hand-woven hemp topped with a neat back splice. They walked up a winding stone walk she had laid around a Palm tree. There stood an exquisite bungalow, painted in blue and white. "It's not much, but I call it home." Inside, she said, "Sit down, please; would you like to have a drink?" "No, thanks," said the engineer. "One more coconut juice and I'll throw up!" "It won't be coconut juice," the woman replied. "I have a crude still out back, so we can have authentic Pina Coladas." Trying to hide his amazement, the man accepted the drink, and they sat down on her couch to talk. After they had exchanged stories, the woman asked, "Tell me, have you always had a beard?" "No," the engineer replied, "I was clean shaven all of my life until I ended up on this island." "Well if you'd like to shave, there's a razor upstairs in the bathroom cabinet." The man, no longer questioning anything, went upstairs to the bathroom and shaved with an intricate bone-and-shell device honed razor sharp. Next he showered, not even attempting to fathom a guess as to how she managed to get warm water into the bathroom, and went back downstairs. He couldn't help but admire the masterfully carved banister as he walked. "You look great," said the woman. "I think I'll go up and slip into something more comfortable." As she did, the engineer continued to sip his Pina Colada. After a short time, the woman, smelling faintly of gardenias, returned wearing a revealing gown fashioned out of pounded palm fronds. "Tell me," she asked, "we've both been out here for a very long time with no companionship. You know what I mean. Haven't you been lonely, too...isn't here something that you really, really miss? Something that all men and woman need? Something that would be really nice to have right now! "Yes, there is!" the man replied, shucking off his shyness. "There is something I've wanted to do for so long. But on this island all alone, it was just...well, it was impossible." "Well, it's not impossible, any more," the woman said. The engineer, practically panting in excitement, said breathlessly: "You mean...you actually figured out some way we can CHECK OUR E-MAIL.!!"

Robin, I'll do some more checking, and let you know!

Ok, you had me blushing until the punch line!!!!!!! As my kids would have said when they were little, "if you love email so much, why don't you marry it!"

Good one, Artman!:thumbsup2

I was looking into the electric car rental on Key West, but I've heard it's small enough to walk, and then there's the trolley.

That's what I was thinking as well. We also thought that if we just walk around, we would see more. Claudia is afraid that if I drive I can select the spots we stop.... Sorry honey there are just no parking spots by the clothing stores. Or my personal favorite "We'll stop there on the way back", sadly after ten years of marriage she knows I will circumnavigate the globe if need be to keep from returning that way. ;)

Who here does NOT have a Passporter (or one on the way)?

Aisling, I know you have the same issue I do. :)

Artman, I have a favor to ask you...

Could you please share with us, when you get your new passporter, details about only the new excursions? I am the type that likes to make fully informed decisions on vacation stuff.
