come on with the mickey bars...i've NEVER even had one.....geeeee (always dieting ya know)uggghhhhh~but i think i'll be having one of those come December!

On our last cruise we shared a table with Dis friends who had a young fellow, I think he was 6, and it worked out well as far as I could tell. A time or two he fell asleep at the table, and was put under the table to sleep. Very cute!

But most nights he was up and at 'em, partying with the rest of us. A rest in the late afternoon does wonders, not only for the little ones, but for us all! That's the only way I was able to keep up, my kids, too, and they're a lot older.

BTW Mickey Bars Taste great at Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Epcot--- Can you tell I like them also?

That picture is too funny. Our son Owen wouldn't fall asleep like that unless you bonked him on the head.

BTW I'm dieting now just for mickey bars in December (and my formal wear) princess:

I have never been on the ship, but based on what I've read I think Deck 10.

Here's an oldie but goodie:
A magician was working on a cruise ship in the Caribbean. The audience would be different each week so the magician allowed himself to do the same tricks over and over again. There was only one problem: the captain's parrot saw the shows each week and began to understand how the magician did every trick. Once he understood he started shouting in the middle of the show: "Look, it's not the same hat". "Look, he is hiding the flowers under the table". "Hey, why are all these cards the Ace of Spades?" The magician was furious but couldn't do anything; it was, after all, the captain's parrot. One day the ship had an accident and sank. The magician found himself on a piece of wood in the middle of the ocean with the parrot, of course! They stared at each other with hate, but did not utter a word. this went on for a day and another and another. After a week the parrot said: "OK, I give up. Where's the boat?"

I would say the Atrium - since we did this same cruise back in 2003-04, it was the best NYE ever, champagne toasts, balloons, beautiful, lots of people and just felt like we were somewhere special (what else would you expect from Disney):flower3:

Now that's a good one, corny but good!:rotfl2: I told it to my DH, but he didn't laugh...I think I have a problem with my comedic timing!

Finally here's a pic of Mel I found, taken on NYE. Ignore the woman on the side...it's my mom, and she'd murder me if she knew such an unflattering pic of her existed!

I read that the Magic was going into drydock this October, so we'll have a nice "new" ship come December.

Robin, were any Disney characters there?

Yes - they have one dressed as Baby New Years (I cannot remember who!!) but it is only used once a year - we had our picture done, and didn't buy it, then had second thoughts, and actually had them search for it, find it and mail it to me - didn't think we would ever be back for NYE again. Glad we will be, and this time I will make sure we get another one! I think Mickey and Minnie in their tuxes and several others. It was very crowded, but so much fun. They show the countdown on the big screen and it felt like we were there, just floating in the middle of the ocean instead, but watching the ball fall in NY - AWESOME!!

What I want to know is what kind of discount cruise line that was....does the captain of the Magic have a parrot? pirate:

The captain we had was Capt. Tom Forberg, and this man's uniform is so blindingly white that if he did have a parrot, it sure never sat on his shoulder!

One odd thing about Capt. Tom: has anyone ever noticed that in photos with him, he NEVER looks at the camera? His eyes are always looking off to the side. Maybe that makes him really cool!:cool1:

Nice picture...your mother wouldbe pleased you shared it.

This was NYE at 5 AM, (well, technically New Year's Morning) after some hard partying, and it shows on her poor self!:rotfl2: She usually doesn't look that, uh, horrid!:rotfl:

OMG look what I found...I'm browsing through my scanned photos and found this pic of me and Mel in 2001 at the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal. Lord, we have aged since then!! Gee I miss those sunglasses. I wonder whatever happened to them.:confused3 Notice Mel being stingy with his drink! He got an F in "sharing" whilst in kindergarten!:rotfl:

And look at Chad and Jesse back then, my babies!

I found these while trying to find a decent photo of my mom, but alas, those are locked in my old broken laptop. Someday I must have it repaired in order to retrieve my tons of photos.
