I was just going to say sorry for replying so late, but I'm right on time. We leave in less than 2 weeks so I'm soooooooooo engrossed....

Well, I booked my JFK to MCO air on Jetblue. I'm happy to get it done and out of the way, but unhappy that prices are a lot higher than in previous years.

Jetblue opened the Dec/Jan dates yesterday.
Friday Dec. 26 6 AM JFK-MCO was $254
Thurday Dec. 25 same time was $174

Then, later that night, it was up to $274 and $199. So I grabbed the $199 and will go down to Florida on Christmas morning. I'm kicking myself for not jumping on the $174. This is only ONE WAY.

Staying the extra day in WDW will still be cheaper than paying the higher fare for all of us to go down the next day.

The Jan.3 return is still very high, but I have a gut feeling it will go down, so I'll wait a while.

Chad and Louise will be going down on the 26th, and just paying the higher fare, this way Louise can spend Christmas day with her family.

I used my Jetblue credit from my cancelled Cali trip, so at least that's all paid for.

Does anyone know if I need special permission from my brother/SIL to take Cory with us, since we'll be leaving the country?

CMJ Photography, wow, that's awesome! I LOOOOOOVE the end "all you need is me". Tres creative! That first photo with the sunset should definitely be your professional logo. Now I know why you've so quiet lately...artist at work. Well done, but is there more? I want to see more! What a tease of a brochure. But I guess that's a good marketing tactic, to get clients drooling and seeking you out for more.

Jesse's big Sports Team Pep Rally Field Day was cancelled today due to the heavy rain. The kids are so disappointed. The funny thing is that I think they're more disappointed over having to go to the three classes they would have missed if they had the field day.

I booked Chad and Louise's air down to Florida for the 26th of Dec. Brenda, I know you already have your air booked, but is anyone else concerned about the high airfares? We're still waiting for prices to come down for our return flight. For our cruise in 2005, we paid $164 RT on either Christmas Eve (or the day before, I forget when we went down there), but still peak time and I got a great price. Oh well, I guess those days are over!

Finally - 10 hours of reading and catching up..... Actually about an hour worth of catching up on the surgery, CMJ Photography, family histories, lacrosse, etc. etc. I think I'm there You ladies can type....

Sorry I have stayed away but when I read this thread I need to give it my undivided attention (as with other threads its a quick post and get off). I've definetly been slammed. Sean was sick for several days there (our almost 17 month old), had the neighborhood yard sale, had my regular trustees meeting's and documentation, getting stuff ready for our trip this Thursday and then work. Nuts/Crazy - I figure I can rest when I'm 50...lol. I so need this vacation even though sometimes I feel like going to Disney is alot of rushing around anyways....

Just think ladies and gents - 8 months from now will be sitting in the beautiful blue ocean and just chilling... I am getting excited about our trip but in the meantime I need to get through the next several months of summer.

I noticed there were at least one new joiner to our cruise - if you could send me your information I can get it uploaded to a website I created for our trip. You can either PM me or send it to my email at anjelshannon@prodigy.net.

Ok - going to try and get some stuff done at work so I can actually be productive..LOL.

Sad news to tell. Mel's oldest brother George passed away suddenly with a heart attack today in the Philippines. He was 59 years old with two children and 3 grandchildren. Mel's taking it ok, as he han't see his brother in 30 years, but it's still a shock. His 86 year old mother is taking it very very hard, but his 88 year old father's mind is gone and doesn't understand what's going on. It's ironic that last year the old father was on his deathbed, but has been hanging on, and his firstborn son surprises everyone and dies. Mel will not be going to the funeral, he said he can't handle it. He's worried about his own health and mortality now, as heart issues run in his family, so he took off to the gym to work out. I tried to reassure him that he's healthy, very active and fit. His brother was a chain smoker for his whole adult life, as well as a severe alcoholic, and a very depressed angry man in his personality. At least he's at peace now, as he never was happy during his life. Rest in peace, Georgie.

Just wanted to share. It put things in perspective for me today, as this morning I found out that some Disers who are angry about being banned have been lying about me and bashing me, even sending me nasty emails because I support the Dis. It made me so angry, especially being lied about, and I was ready to lash out at them...again.

But after this happened to George, it made me realize that the Dis crap that's happening is so unimportant, and I have linked myself only to the cruise board, separating myself from the rest of the Dis. I don't want to be a part of all that mess, and I have moved to a new board where so far the people are nice and not into fighting, lying, and bashing others. But I'm still here on our thread.

Life is too short to spend it on negativity and anger. I choose love and warmth.

So my friends, thanks for being good people. I luv you all.

We leave May 1st and we are still packing but I think we are close to being done (hopefully). Just so many other things going on to as tonight we had Kindergarten night for Sydney (she starts in the fall) then tomorrow she has piano and husband/her have haircuts and then Wednesday she has gym (no I am not one of those pyscho moms that puts her in everything its just she really likes gym and piano).

If I don't talk to you folks before my vacation take care. I will try and get on sometime after vacation but I'm sure you all know how that is.....

I can't understand how some people can be so negative to others they may not even know that well. You seem extremely friendly and willing to share, they just don't know what a good friend is

Good to hear, Brenda! I had the dissolving stitches so they just disappeared which was cool - I'm a bit of a baby where stitches are concerned. I remember recovery was quicker than I anticipated - except for driving. I drive a low-slung Mercedes convertible and felt every bump in the roads for a couple of weeks!!! Oh and I couldn't reach up to bolt/unbolt the front door...

i have both - dissolving for under the skin & some regular ones (not sure why) AND LOTS & LOTS of surgical tape....she wants to keep those strips on as long as possible as they help with the healing...??? but they don't bug me so it's okay. I know what you mean about reaching up...it was hard enough before to just reach the 2nd shelf in the cabinets...now it's impossible!! oh well - that's why my son is 6'1" right???? I am back to work full time this week - so really doing well...still a little tender but no real pain~so that is good!!!

Colleen - love your brochure....i never did get that Italy one scanned & sent - so sorry about that...I just got SO DARN busy with St Francis' Spring Fest this past weekend....& i'm still not totally finished~i'm the treasurer - so i was in charge of all the dinner & raffle ticket sales & now that's if over, i have lots of accounting stuff to do but wanted to pop in & say hi!

Aisling - glad you got your flights....at least there! really glad i grabbed the ones i did in Feb....the $379 RT we got is looking better & better! It just kills me that to fly to Minneapolis next month is costing me more than the flts to Orlando.....tried to get my daughter a fare to MSP to go with me, & that same flight is almost $700 now - i paid $394 which is high enough! Oh well - i'm now paying over $4/gallon for gasd too & that is at Costco....took over $60 to fill my car yesterday...can't even imagine if i had an SUV.....
