So - neither Chel nor I have done ANY scrapbooking at all..... we are just dis'ing....her hubby is going to be SOOOOOOO surprized!!!! We will start scrapping SOON!!!!!

We SURE are....today was in the 80's....we got a lot done....had a "FABULOUS" dinner at our favorite Carmel restaurant - Bahama Billy's (a polynesian flair). I finished my niece's HS grad album i'm making her & i'm waiting for my massage - about an hour....

Just checking in. My sis and family are here from upstate doing a college visit with my nephew, and tonight they're off to Florida for a week at Universal. I showed my BIL the Disboards, and he was up half the night reading the Universal boards like crazy. He's an obsessive planner, and he found paradise! My sister really wanted to go to WDW, as ny niece is only 5, and a lot of Universal will be over her head, but they're all excited about it just the same.

My other niece who's 9 and lives in North Dakota called me last night to tell me her good news that she bought 2 mice as pets. Ok, I tried to sound happy for her, but I have a terrible phobia of mice (and bugs), and then I proceded to have a nightmare about mice running loose in my house. Telling you I woke up this morning with heart palpitations would be an
understatement! But I'm glad that she doesn't have that fear, as any kind of phobia sucks.

Jill, I have a favor to ask of you. I remember a photo of you in action skating, and since I have a new laptop and have no way to recover my photos on my broken laptop, would you mind sending me that photo? Or any photo of you skating. I'm working on a project that I think you'll likee.

I'm tired today, having had a restless sleep due to those freaking mice, so after I take my sis to the airport at 7 pm, I'm going to go home and call it an early night. I don't watch tv (even though I have it on all night on FoxNews), so I'm going to cuddle up with my laptop and Dis until I fall asleep. I'm also working on a plan to visit New Orleans in a couple of years, so that'll ease me into sleep. It may have to be a solo trip, as I can't convince any of my kids or hubby to go with me. But I really really want to go.

So pals, I'll be back on later if anyone else wants to check in and say howdy do!

About skating contests: There are 4 left for the season.

Christiana Delaware on Mothers Day
Memorial Day Classic at Holiday Skating Ctr
Eastern Region Championships on June 22nd At Holiday
Then Nationals at Lincoln Ne end of July beginning of August

I have been practicing at least 4 days a week. I've also tried to work at least 1 overtime day a week.

I read the dis, check my mail, then off to the rink, then home to bed.

If you can get a pic with her whole body, I mean legs included, that would be PERFECT.

It's so nice to have a photographer in the family! I also need one photo each of Brit and Adrian. I'm doing the magnetic door signs very early this time to avoid any printer malfunctions the night before we leave for Florida, like what happened the last time!

I'm not doing collages. I'm doing them more like a scrapbook page, but incorporating the photos into a theme. It's hard to explain! I use Print Shop because that's where I store my huuuge collection of fonts. It'll be more "hands-on" than fancified, because I still can't figure out how to use PhotoShop Elements. But that's ok, because doing it the hard way let's me more creative.

If you are making them like scrapbook pages you could try to do one on your CM program...if the fonts are in your computer you should be able to get to them no matter what program you use off that computer. (Key words, could and should)



I have Elements, thank you Mom, it is hard to learn but works VERY well once you learn. My graphics design teacher makes us use different programs (Illustrator, Quark and InDesign) and I find myself always drawn back to my Elements.

Aisling - Tigg is correct - the CM programs both use ANY & ALL fonts that are on your computer....& you could make your scrapbook / collage page with the Storybook Creator Plus. Maybe we can find a little time on board where we can have a little mini 'digital class' - i will have my laptop with me...i'm thinking late one night at The Cove with a yummy drink or two!!!

Jill - I am complete awe...i had NO idea you are a skater! how very cool is that!!!!

pretty busy this week since i'll be out friday & probably monday too....but will check in when i can....& will definitely check in with you all on sat or so....
