NYE - MK or Epcot?

I just don't know which one to do! we will do MK on the 30th, and I know its the same on the 30th and 31st, so I decided MK on the 30th and Epcot on the 31st.... but now I'm second guessing it. I always pictured us doing NYE at MK, and I'm just not sure Epcot would have the same feeling. we also have 3 young kids, so I'm not sure if epcot would compare to the castle.

Suggestions? I really need help deciding!

Epcot has MUCH more atmosphere-parties in several Countries,etc.-than MK on NYE-JMHO.

We did MK on December 30th last year. It was really crowded but we loved it! The fireworks were awesome and even though it was a day early it felt just like New Year's Eve! I'm pretty sure that December 31st would be even more crowded in MK than December 30th. All I can tell you is that my kids are older (pre-teen and teen) and even they felt a little overwhelmed by the Dec 30th crowds in MK around fireworks time.

I have to confess...we didn't hit any of the parks on NYE. We were set to start our 20 hour drive home on Jan 1, so on NYE we just chilled out and had dinner at Artist Point. However, if we were to pick a park for NYE it would have been Epcot. It's much bigger than MK...so I think it would absorb the NYE crowds much better.

On Dec 30 we got to MK early because we didn't want to risk being shut out in the case of a park closure. Then, once we were in...we were afraid to leave for the same reason. It was a really long day but it was a blast!

Our original plan on Dec 31st was to go poke around the Poly late morning...just shop and have a quick bite to eat around 11:00 am. But, as it turned out, we couldn't get anywhere near the Poly parking lot (we had our own car). It was mobbed and traffic was backed up in a huge way. We sat in a line of traffic for at least 45 min to an hour. And, that was just to get turned around at the lot because it was full. We should have known better This was our first time to WDW on NYE so now we know! We ended up at Art of Animation just to check it out and we had a lot of fun!

The Epcot fireworks were pretty amazing. They're over the World Showcase Lagoon after a special Illuminations. So, they're right in front of you and they made the ground shake!
