NYE Fireworks

Where are good New Years Eve fireworks, and are the only held on the 31st, or for like a week celebration.

Looking toward 2005, getting SS for the DD Fireworks, on the 31st.

ANy other times ? Places ?

I don't know about the ones surrounding December 31, but every night (except during Mardis Gras) is NYE at Pleasure Island and they do fire works.

When we were there for NYE, Epcot had WONDERFUL fireworks! It was the BEST! Then they did Illuminations/Reflections of earth afterwards, so it was like an extra long giant show.

I guess what I was thinking is that I would like to see the firewords without crowds. SO was thinking of SS, from the balcony or viewing area, if I can get it....

But for 1 1/2 minutes of DD fireworks, it isn't worth it. I'd rather stay at BCV, and enjoy the illuminations firewords (own here too).

But if SS / DD has LONG and GOOD NYE fireworks, then I'd like to see them.

Also, I thought there was some kind of time in July / Aug that the do a practice run of the fireworks, because someone comlained about how noisy it was.

Anyone know when the practice run was (would be easier to get a room).

I love Fireworks. Wish DD wasn't so short and lame.....

I would assume you could see Epcot fireworks from some places at both BCV and BWV, but no guarantee of seeing it from your room. I suspect the best view of fireworks might be MK from the VWL dock, but I don't know if they do special ones for NYE or not at MK.

The do Sorcery in the Sky at Disney Studios on NYE. It was great.

At midnight on NYE (only) WDW falls under aerial attack -- at least that's what it will sound like from any and all hotel rooms. All parks (except AK) have a super spectacular display. Epcot shoots off so many fireworks that the CMs have to park in a special lot to protect their cars.

PI has a special ticket party on NYE. I'm not sure whether their fireworks are bigger than usual or not (might be a safety problem).

fireworks at MK are the BEST on NYE. Totally worth being in MK from 8 am on one of the busiest days of the year for a fireworks junkie like me. I have also seen MGMs NYE fireworks, but MK blows them away. Maybe you could go to the poly beach or GF if you don' t want to be in the parks.
