We will be arriving to WDW on NYE in the afternoon. Looking to just have dinner and chill that night, but we have teenagers who will want to do “something” for NYE at midnight.

Ive read you can watch the MK fireworks from the beach at GF or the Poly, but it looks like this may be blocked off for private party for hotel guests on NYE.

Where can we watch the MK fireworks, either with or without a dinner reservation, outside of the park at midnight?

Try the ferry dock at the TTC. The music is piped in, and the view is excellent, so you see the 180° fireworks around the lagoon as well as around and behind the castle.

The only thing I’m not sure of is whether the MK/TTC parking lot will have capacity issues, if you’re wanting to drive there. However, if you’re staying onsite, you can just take your resort transportation to MK and then take the ferry or monorail across the lagoon to the TTC.

If you bus to MK, be prepared for long lines on the way home afterwards, though. That’s when parking at TTC can be an advantage, because when the fireworks end you’ll be at the front of the hordes getting to their cars.

Will likely be easier to watch the Epcot fireworks from the Boardwalk area. Also probably a more fun vibe for the teens. Can easily check out the resort activities at the Boardwalk-area resorts. Much easier access than the MK ones.

Alternatively there is the craziness of Disney Springs.
